Technology Gone Too Far

All thanks to technology to where we are today. Every day new inventions are coming up to assist man in coping with life and to make his task easy.

Technology has given people hope and made impossible things possible. Aside from creating life and guaranteeing health, these days it is as if there is nothing that can not be done.

Technology has made provisions for man to be able to achieve almost anything, as long as you can think of it. As long as the problem dares arises, technology will provide a way out.

I can't be exhausted talking about how good technology has been to the world and to me personally.

I don't stop appreciating God for being part of this age. Imagine I had existed in the past when technology was still trying to find expression, when people had to trek, when there was no computer, no power, no internet, no smartphones and so on, how would I have coped?

Sometimes I am tempted to say those people suffered, but it is their suffering that paved the way for us to enjoy whatever we are enjoying today.

Technology has done so much good to mankind and it is still doing so, however, sometimes, I think some inventions are going out of hand. Sometimes, I feel certain things need not be created.

I know that war has been part of man right from the beginning, things like hate, greed, intolerance, and others can result in bitterness that can stir war but do things have to be that way?

It's funny how men, even from the days of old, knew how to invent special weapons for situations like that. People invented tools to take the life of a fellow human and they are happy about it.

What always comes to my mind when I see people buying guns and other weapons is that they are asking for war to come.

We said our ancestors lived fighting and hating each other because they were not educated, all thanks to God, we are in the days of knowledge, and a lot of us have gone to school.

Why are we still inventing weapons? What are we preparing for? I thought we said we are educated and love conquers all? Why are those inventions still going on and upgrading for that matter?

I don't know whether I am the only one with this opinion, once you create something, it is impossible not to use it. There would always be that temptation to test-run it.

Where I think technology has gone too far is in the area of creating weapons, we all are aware of how different countries have deadly nuclear weapons that have the ability to wipe out an entire nation.

Different kinds of guns and bombs have been invented over the years and sadly we are using them to destroy each other.

I am so hurt about the war going on between Israel and Iraq. I don't know whether what I see on the news is true but the kind of missiles the two countries are using to fight against each other is scary.

People with great potential, women, children and the needy are dying as a result of the attack, yet we say we want to build the world and make it a better place for ourselves and our children.

How I wish bombs and weapons inventions never existed. They are only making us cry and hate each other the most.
