If I Can Bring One Person To Life
Death is one of things I wish we had power over. Sometimes I wish it didn't exist in the first place but it's part of life, that's the end of everyone and anything that has life and if it doesn't exist, I wonder how life would have been.
We grew up hearing stories of certain animals like dragon, and dinosaurs but we never set our eyes on them.
My mother told me about how there was a time the government was responsible. They made education free for everyone, provided everything students need for their academics for free and also provided free meals to the students but today, things like that are extinct.
So many people want to go to school but don't have the means, and even those already in school, the bills are heavy on them. Imagine education is still free and the government is providing everything for students like it was before.
There are many things I wish I could bring back to life but wishes are not horses, the best we can do is to just say them out and satisfy our fantasies.
However, if I had the power to bring one thing back to life. I would love to bring back a person and that person is a one time Nigerian president, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
May his soul continue to rest in peace; he died of an illness in the year 2010. He is one of the presidents that I kept wishing we would have again in Nigeria.
During his regime, Naira had value, job opportunities were available, inflation was minimal and fuel price was low. The average person can survive on his/her salary, life was affordable and the government was reliable.
His tenure and Goodluck Jonathan was one of the best regimes that I know in Nigeria. President Goodluck Johnathan followed in his footsteps after his demise and I commend his effort for that.
Today, Nigeria is falling, inflation has made life unbearable, job opportunities are scarce, if you do not have connections, just forget about getting a government job. Only the rich and the influential are considered honorable but the poor are not taken seriously.
This makes me wish we can bring Musa Yar'Adua back to life. Who knows, out of his good heart he might be able to dispel the evil that has taken its root in the country?
Who knows, he might make life better for both the rich and the poor? Who knows, corruption might be purged out of the country and the giant of Africa would rise back to its feet again, who knows?
Well, that can only be a wish. Sometimes, it's better if we let things be the way they are. Probably, even if he is still in government, he wouldn't have done anything different.
So, instead of wishing for the dead to return, it's best we keep praying and hoping for the best, he has played his role and left, now it's our turn.
Wishes won't solve the problem, we need to arise and take action by exercising our civil right as it should be and stay away from all forms of bribery during elections and do what is right and I am sure, we will have better leaders again.
Many times we want to bring back the people we love, but even if it is not possible, I believe that they continue to live in our hearts forever.
That is right, gone but forever in our hearts.. thanks for reading sir
Thank you❣️🥰
It's not easy, but then the deaths are gone forever, but remembering their works is something we cannot rein from. Most of them had tried to give us the best life we had ever needed, while some of them had put us into this mess we are in today.
We just need to pray for the present government to bring back that change we had ever wanted or that old times.
Exactly.. the dead are gone, we just have to look ahead and keep going..
Thanks for stopping by
