Children Become Who They Choose And Not What Their Parents Suggest

Some things are inherited, while others are learned. That's a fact all of us know. When it comes to picking sides between good or bad, it is something that genes can not do.

It is not rumour that some children were brought up in conditions that suggested every reason for them to be bad but they turned out to be the direct opposite while some were brought up in homes that gave them all the resources they need to be good but they ended up choosing another path.

Heredity is strong but its strength is very limited in shaping one's life to be good or bad. There are only a few unique behaviors that we can inherit from our parents or adjust to from our environments: talking style, quietness, walking style, and so on.

But not morals, even if our brains were opened and goodness is implanted into it and sealed up, it is still up to us to decide whether to be good or not.

By default, we know that it is an advantage for children to be brought up by good parents and in a good environment.

This will make it very easy for them to be able to choose to have good characters or behaviors, because everything around suggests good. If in the end they decided to continue on that lane, it would be something very easy.

Even if you hide the child from evil continually, one day that child will change environment, and even if he/she doesn't, they will go to school. They have social media that has the ability to expose them to that other kind of lifestyle.

If they taste it and discover that it's their pick, I am sorry, no matter what the parents will do, they just have to give them some time and pray for them to discover the light some day.

But someone who only knows bad, when they see good, they wonder, and the first thing that happens is that guilt begins to hit them.

This is why it is very easy for someone who wasn't brought up well to be well behaved than someone who used to be good and fallen to change and take that route again.

If good behaviors are inherited, everyone in the world would have been a good person. Because parents, no matter how ugly their lives are, always want to ensure that their kids live right and never make the mistakes they made.

Imagine how every parent would be up and doing to transform in order not to transfer bad genes to their children.

But those are dreams, children get to develop their behaviors, they choose the
path they want, they become who they think is best for them.

Does this mean that parents should just allow the children to be whatever they want without making any effort since it is up to the child to decide their behavior? No, lay the foundation and keep praying for the child.

There are children out there who were properly raised and they continued in that path. There are children whose parents did everything possible to make them good and it paid off.

It will be to the shame of the parents if they refuse to train their children well. In the end, if the child becomes wayward, it will definitely be their fault.

As a parent, make life easy for your children by giving them that good training, make it easy for them to build upon it when they grow. If they decided to change, well, you have played your part and God knows that you have tried.
