Creative Sunday - pencil drawing of a Seren countryside

Greetings and a Happy Sunday to everyone in this community, hope you all are having a great day today.Sundays have always carried a special magic—an unsaid promise of slowing down and embracing creativity and today I embraced my creativity by drawing. Drawing is a language beyond words, and when my pencil glides over paper, it becomes a bridge between imagination and reality. The scene I captured with my humble pencil—a serene countryside with huts, hills, trees, and winding paths, simple but unique. Here's how I drew it.

materials

• White drawing book
• Pencil
• Rubber
• Pencil cutter and scale

step 1

For step 1, I prepared my white drawing book and my other materials as well.

In this step, I drew two house shapes and a mountain shape along the middle of the notebook.

Next I color sketched the front of the house with a coconut tree and the shape of the house and hill with 6 b pencil.

After doing that, Then I drew two more shapes next to the mountain shape and drew various shapes throughout the drawing book.

In this step I made color sketches with pencil on the various shapes drawn throughout the drawing book.

In this step I drew a sun behind the mountain shape, two small trees in the foreground and the forest and bushes behind the two houses.

In the last step I drew the shape of the sky in the image and drew some flying birds. At the same time I finished the other works of the picture and finished drawing my wonderful pencil drawing today.

Though it took me a lot of time to complete this drawing,but I am so glad I finished it and the time spent was worth it. Below is my final result.

Creative Sundays like these remind me that art isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling. And sometimes, all it takes to capture the spirit of a place is a single pencil, a blank page, and a heart full of dreams. This simple pencil sketch was not just a picture; it was a memory I had created from my imagination—a countryside I could visit anytime just by closing my eyes.
