At the table dinner with love

The core values of every family plays a vast role in the life of it's members because whatever values the family upholds the children and members of that family are likely to continue the tradition and even pass on the legacy and so you hear things like that family is a family of so and so because of the values passed from one generation to another.

As the first child in my family my dad and mum always feed me as a child when they ate especially during dinner time but as I grew older and had siblings my parents would normally eat together while me and my siblings always ate together.

The thing about eating together is that it allows the family to bond in in the moment of eating together you can share your experience from a days activities, sometimes dinner time coincidentally falls on the time when the local TV channel in our city gave the news and in that time dinner is always eaten quietly.

Growing up with my siblings dinner time at first used to be some worth chaotic especially when it was swallow because he didn't like Eba for any reason so you after eating a few rounds of eba he will call out my name and say give me my meat.

Back then in my house my mum would serve all our meat and it's either we were sharing the meat or we choose from the eldest to the smallest.

I remember once visiting one of our family friends and when it was time for dinner the youngest would share the meat and the eldest choose first.

Right now I can only remember some of those memories and marvel at how childish we were then me and my siblings some times with a large bowl of rice and lots of fried plantains on top.

With me and all my siblings currently out of the house based on academic pursuit which by the way remains just our last dinner time was last in January 1st 2025 which happened to be my favorite soup banga soup and eba because the next day I was on my way back to school.

The memories shared during dinner time are always fun, and one interesting thing about eating together was no matter how small the food it was always enough because it was eaten in love.

Dinner time is a tradition every family should imbibe because it is a sure way of strengthening family bond because some deep family matters which lead to deeper connection can be talked over dinner which can help to strengthen children children relationships and parents children relationships.

As a child I remember some of my curiosity were cleared during dinner time and also now that am grown I remember having dinner with my mom and Dad just this December being the first of my siblings who went home and some deep conversations we had that actually gave me another perspective to some things.

My favorite part of eating dinner at home is the fact that I don't get to crack my head thinking what to eat because Mom's gat that covered so even though I will help out in the kitchen I already know what am going to be doing on like having to do everything when am alone😂😊😄.
