Vacx For The Better!!!
I can remember as a child when we’d be pulled from our classes in the middle of the day and told to stand in a file, then we’d be given vaccines one after the other. Sometimes, it would be injections going into our arms or pills that we’d take. Other times, they’d run campaigns that were directed at our parents, urging them to take us kids to the hospital for one vaccine or the other.
Vaccine is basically a part of our lives, because we get them at one time or another. They’re very important to us because they protect us from basic illnesses that could have been deadly. Many people don’t really get polio these days anymore, that’s because, as kids, we were all vaccinated. And the same can be said for a number of diseases as well.
And the idea of vaccination has always fascinated me, especially how it works. From the little I gathered, it works by introducing the disease into the body in controlled measures, prompting the body to develop adequate antibodies to fight the disease. Then, after a set period, the disease is cured, and the individual gets immunity for life. It’s kind of how Chicken Pox works. You only get chicken pox once in your life, even if you come into contact with people who have it over and over again. Even if you do get it again, it won’t be chicken pox; it’ll be shingles.
Sadly though, not every disease can be vaccinated against. A pity we can’t take a vaccination for cancer or other terminal illnesses. However, for those diseases for which we can take vaccinations, we have a duty to do that. I’ve seen people who seem to be scared of vaccinations; they don’t get them for their child, as if the very act of vaccination would kill them.
This was the same with the COVID-19 vaccines. There was no conspiracy that we didn’t hear at the time. No matter how bad it was, it always got worse. And many people refused to take the vaccine. At a point, the government had to start forcing people in the little way they could. While they couldn’t physically drag people to the clinics to get the vaccines, they had to make it compulsory for certain things. Government workers had to get it and submit a certificate to show it. Even today, to get visas to travel abroad would also require a COVID-19 vaccination.
I firmly believe in the idea of vaccination, because the fact that your immune system can successfully combat a disease or virus doesn’t mean that your neighbor would have the same luck. And if they contract it from you, you’ve as good as killed them. And even worse, you could give it to babies and toddlers whose immune system is yet to develop well enough for vaccinations.
So, we need to do better. Not just for ourselves, but for everyone else as well. It’s for the collective good of the society, as long as we’re all healthy, then all will be well. And this is why I’d never understand those who continuously put down vaccines and see them as an evil plan to take over the world. They’d always fight something new, even though they don’t understand it at all. This is the same way they fought against 5G, chips, and even BVN. But in the end, everyone will kwere eventually. There is no other way for it to end.
Vaccines are part of us and are important. I also wish vaccination could work for sicknesses like cancer and those life threatening diseases, but for the ones that it can cure, we shouldn't ignore or underestimate it because it works and can help us prevent any illnesses from disturbing us.
Yeah... it really does work, and it can be frustrating that people don't take it seriously.

Vaccination do give a scare thought to parents ...but having knowledge about them is always a benefit. No parents wants their kids to suffer...
yeah... in this day and age, a simple research will tell you all you need to know. But many people won't even put themselves through that trouble.
What is sad about these conspiracy theories is that they can convince some people, maybe because they lack sufficient knowledge, or just distrust the government, and as a result, people suffer from something that is preventable.
Yeah... the fact that most of their claims are baseless doesn't mean people will study and come to individual decision, they simply jut go with the trend.
I also think that vaccination is good for us and it for protect us. But humans are greedy and in case of COVID-19 vaccine we have enough reason to doubt it.
Uhhuh.. human greed is definitely something to look out for in these cases.
The COVID-19 vaccine stuff was crazy. The fact that there were doubts about its existence down here makes taking the vaccine unjustifiable. I mean, a lot of government officials cooked the book and leveraged on the pandemic to rake money into their accounts.
