Experiences From My Last Trip

Traveling has been one of my hobbies since I was a child. I love traveling so much that whenever my mom tells me that we're traveling to visit any relative or for a function, I'm always happy as a child despite the fact that I usually have motion sickness. I don't allow that to stop me from enjoying the journey or the fun that I wish to have at our destination.

As I grew older, the motion sickness began to reduce and I started preventing it by siting by the window where I could get enough breeze during the journey and having a dry gin handy whenever I'm traveling, so I just sip a little whenever I'm feeling nauseous and that's all. The feeling disappear and I get to concentrate on the view as we travel.

I travel a lot, I have traveled about three times in this month but the most recent journey was last week to a ladies conference, organized by one of the groups I belong to. I have been anticipating this conference since January and we have planned a lot towards it. I and my sister decided to join the bus which would take us to and from the conference because we concluded that it would make the journey easier for us because she is going with her two years old baby.

I left my house to join the bus at exactly 6:30am and I got to the meeting point around 7: 30 just in time for take off. The journey started as we pick up other ladies at two different bus stop which my sister was part of them. The first thing I enjoyed about the trip was that I sat with my sister in the bus, so we had time to catch up and discuss on the journey because we haven't seen each other for a long time, and we had a lot to talk about.

We eat and drank in the bus because it was a four hour journey to the venue of the conference which was in another state. We talked about a lot of things and plans for the coming weeks. When we got to the venue, we took some photographs at the stand and went ahead to freshen up and settled in for the program to begin.

The program was really interesting and I had a lot of fun, I learned a lot about money, business, career and various strategies to achieve my dreams as a woman. We had different sessions and there was a panel session where being a mother, a wife and having an amazing career was discussed. This opened my eyes to a lot of things and how I could have it all. I was really inspired.

We went on break for dinner and to freshen up before the last session began. This part blew my mind. I haven't recovered from the experience I gathered from the conference and I hope to make a good use of it. We went for coffee in the early hours of the morning

While the question and answer was going on. I was still feeling hungry so I eat some apples during the presentation of awards. The program ended around 6:00am on Saturday and we set out on our journey home around 7:00am.
The journey back home was still lively but most of us already feel wornout and exhausted from the eighteen hours program.

My next travel is next weekend for a children's day outreach in the rural areas. I've been looking forward and planning towards it. I know it's going to be fun too and I hope to be able to put smiles on the faces of children in underdeveloped areas.

You sure do travel a lot and not just for travelling sake, those are interesting programs I'd love to travel and attend too.

I can't relate with people who have motion sickness but it's great you have a hack for it now. It's always nice having a close one while on a journey, gist nor dey finish 😅

What a great experience! I found it inspiring how you don’t let discomfort stop you from enjoying your trips. I hope your next event is amazing too
