Mind Like a Sieve? Here's How to Plug the Holes
Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Aging causes many diseases in our body and Dementia is one of them. It is not essential; if we have forgotten a few things, we are affected by Dementia. There can be other factors as well. Forgetting things can be beneficial and can be dangerous. It can be beneficial when we have observed nightmare or have bad experiences then it becomes essential to forget them for a peaceful sleep. Ultimately, when we have forgotten something about precious things, we have to face the consequences of loss or missing opportunities. There are many exercises we should do to make our memories better and better. Similarly, if we have dementia, then we should consult with a physician to mitigate this problem because it can be dangerous in our lives.
It was not Dementia but I had Witnessed
People between 15-27 years are less prone to dementia but we can face the consequences of forgetting things. It is normal but we should learn how to resolve if we are struggling with this bad habit. If we take this habit as a routine without taking measurable steps then we can destroy our carrier.
My mother is a Blood Pressure Patient. She normally takes medicine to control this disorder. Once I have forgotten to purchase her medicine from pharmacy. Her medicine were also finished at home. It was about 3:00 AM when someone started knocking while I was sleeping. I woke up and run to open the room. She was my mother who was stumbling. Before I asked her what has happened she became unconcious. I instantly called to Ambulance. Within thirty minutes, we shifted her to hospital.
After proper check-up, doctor informed me that she had high blood pressure. Even he asked me either she had taken medicine or not what he had prescribed daily. My head was down feeling shame because I had forgotten to bring her medicine. Without further scolding, he warned me that it could be lethal if she missed taking medicine next time. Thankfully she recovered after spending 12 hours in hospitals. It was not Dementia, it was my negligence that I had to accept.
To save myself from these sorts of dangerous issues, now I have had a habit of saving daily and monthly tasks in my Calendar. My Calendar gives me alarm and I become conscious. For further remembrance, I also have fixed sticky notes on the walls of my bedrooms that I have habit of daily reading before and after sleep. In this way, I have resolved the problem of forgetting things. Now I contented with this solution.
Final Thoughts
Being human beings, we can face many challenges regarding our memory. Forgetting things is normal but we should tackle this habit before it becomes toxic. We need to find always new solutions according to the modern era. I have witnessed the Dementia disorder in aged people but this can be a problem with our youth with little chances. If we are facing this then our life is not finished we need to sort our dementia or the problem of memory loss. We should take food and fruits that help in making strong memories if we can afford. We also learn from the experiences of the people who have successfully controlled the habit of forgetting things or have dementia.
