Morals & Ethics Must Be Considered

When any law is made, many things are considered and only after that the law is implemented. Before any new rule is made, there is a meeting of the cabinet and people give their opinion in favor and against it, then a meeting is held and after that voting. When voting takes place, the rule is implemented accordingly. If there are more supporters of that rule, then obviously that rule will be implemented for the public, but if its supporters are less, then it is seen whether there is a need for some change in this rule or not or why people are not liking it so much, the reason behind this is also told and only after that a decision is taken. Just as a country needs rules and laws to run properly, similarly moral values are also a thing in our society. We get moral values from our society and family which teach us to differentiate between right and wrong.

If someone does not understand moral values, then he will not be able to understand the difference between right and wrong and then he will not be able to differentiate whether he is doing right or wrong. You must have seen one thing or it may have happened to you that when a small child steals anything from his house, such as a biscuit, then his family members scold him a lot. Even though stealing a biscuit is not a big deal, but the issue here is about stealing. Now he has got the habit of stealing from home and if he is not stopped at the right time, then he can go to the neighbor's house and steal and then later he can commit big thefts like this. Here moral values are very much needed and if moral values are explained to the child from a young age, then later on he will be able to easily differentiate between right and wrong and he will not have any problem and he will be able to walk on the right path. You must have seen that some children become orphans in childhood when they are just four-five years old. When those children are orphaned, many times it happens that they do not find anyone to take care of them or they find someone with them but the environment there is also not good and the person who keeps them with him does not understand moral values himself. In such a situation, what happens is that later when that child grows up, then he does not see any difference between right and wrong and he does anything according to his wish. He will steal anywhere he wants or do something that is illegal.

While making laws of a country, one must definitely think about morality and ethical values. I am saying this because if moral values are being made in any sense, then they are made to differentiate between right and wrong. And there will hardly be any society that will not make such rules for its people because if people are given a free hand, then they will do a lot of things and the law is not limited to only serious crimes or hurting someone, but there are many such things which come under the purview of law and it is very important to understand them. Breaking the law does not mean that you are committing a crime or you are harming someone, but all such things come under the purview of breaking the law. If a person cheats someone or commits a scam, then that also comes under the purview of a crime. There are many such things which violate moral values, so all these should be included in the law and laws should be made keeping moral values in mind. Laws came into existence when our country got independence but moral values have been there since long and laws are made keeping them in mind, hence it is very important to keep morality and ethical values in mind.
