Is There Anything Like Being Reborn?

The topic of reincarnation is a topic about beliefs. We all have different thoughts about this. Be it traditional beliefs, religious beliefs, personal ideologies, and many more. But in all of this, there is only one thing that's so certain and that’s the fact that we are all going to die and leave the surface someday.

The cause of death will surely vary, but no matter the cause of death, once someone is dead then they are gone. However, there is an intermediate world where one is neither alive nor dead. Patients in coma are in these stages of life.

As a Yoruba man, there is this traditional belief that the dead resurrects, the question is how? Some will then name their children with names like “Yetunde” meaning “Mother is back again” and “Babatunde” that’s “Father is back again.

With this belief and calling them these names, they will get to attribute some actions and behaviors of the newly born to that of the deceased father or mother. Then you hear them say why this child behave like such a person? Hehe. It’s nothing related. To me, the child is just acting in their manner, we are the ones linking them up. The child doesn’t know anyone unless told the story about them.

Sometimes I also hear about the fact that there are times when people get to resurrect as someone else in another part of the world. I have watched it several times in different movies. To me, I don't think there is any reality in this. It's all cooked-up fiction to make movies interesting. And maybe we already got the delusive mindset from those movies and linked it up with the real world. So we tend to believe such occurrences exist for real.

To those that see someone they knew before in another part of the world. Then I will say it's either magic or a devil’s activity. 😂. Or maybe both of them are already dead then they meet in the afterlife thinking they are both alive in the present world.

That's one of the reasons why death is so painful at times, it's so sad to lose loved ones because we can never get to see them ever again. The only thing that makes it easy for us to move on is the fact that we are forgetful. We tend to forget what has happened in the past easily and this is why we move on with life even after losing our loved ones for a long time.

In conclusion, I don’t believe there is any sort of existence as reincarnation. We just get to live once, and once we are gone then it's over. Life after death is different and remains unknown to us unless we get there like we never knew where we were before we came to the world.

This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 163 Edition 3 and the topic to be discussed is IS REINCARNATION POSSIBLE

It's crazy how many people believe that people can died and come back to life, it's an interesting topic that might need to happen in our presence for us to believe.

That’s the only way out. 😂. I can’t imagine how other part of the world would also view this too.

People don’t resurrect in other parts of the world.😂😂 what I know is that everyone of us has one or more doppelgängers around the world.

There are times when in it's late night and I'm lying down, some of these questions hit me. I saw the question actually. What is life and how does this mechanism work? But that said, I obviously believe that life is a one-time thing and the afterlife is permanent. But still I do wonder whether people in one life can even know anything about the people in the other.

It’s just about different realms and until one cross over there before understanding how it is over there

There are so many things we don't understand and that's awesome because being able to unravel some mysteries in the world can change so many things for the human race.

I respect your opinion about reincarnation and logically, it's impossible.
