No one told me that a tear
would hurt so much
falling on my lips,
breaking my chin
and hanging
endlessly suspended in the air
with my face
on the petals of your wings.

The goldsmith
wanted to tattoo your name on my chest
and a tear rolled down his hands when he saw my ribs exposed:

renunciation of broken crystals
with your name on each petal.

He didn't know what to say
when he discovered that my chest
was no longer my chest,
but a petal
with the image of your name
on my ribs.

Nadie me dijo que una lágrima
dolería tanto
al caer sobre mis labios,
romper la barbilla
y colgar
infinitamente suspendida en el aire
con mi rostro
en los pétalos de tus alas.

El orfebre
quiso tatuar tu nombre en mi pecho
y una lágrima rodó por sus manos al ver mis costillas al aire:
renuncia de cristales rotos
con tu nombre en cada pétalo.

No supo qué decir
cuando descubrió que mi pecho
ya no era mi pecho,
sino un pétalo
con la imagen de tu nombre
en mis costillas.
