The cobblestones
resist dying under the arrows.
Directions to nowhere
where there were promises of a kiss,
of a tree
with glances that play with the clouds.

A woman dreams of trees,
without recognizing
where the dreams
that embrace her hang.

Woman at the starting point,
woman and streetlights,
and squares
that don't forget her steps
nor the synchronicity of pain.

The cobblestones fracture its streets,
and in the distance
two flags refuse to die
despite the wind,
and the promises of a kiss.

Los adoquines
se resisten a morir bajo las flechas.
Direcciones hacia ninguna parte
donde hubo promesas de un beso,
de un árbol
con miradas que juegan a las nubes.

Una mujer,
sueña con árboles
sin reconocer dónde cuelgan
los sueños que le abrazan.

Mujer en el punto de partida,
mujer y luces de farolas,
y plazas
que no olvidan sus pasos
ni la sincronía del dolor.

Los adoquines fracturan sus calles,
y a lo lejos
dos banderas se resisten a morir
a pesar del viento,
y las promesas de un beso.
