The Divina Pastora Archdiocesan Museum, located in the small and nearby town of Santa Rosa, is an institution dedicated to the preservation, restoration and exhibition of religious articles, mainly those related to the Divine Shepherdess (Divina Pastora), a Marian devotion of Andalusian origin, which has enjoyed a great devotion in the region since its arrival in the middle of the 18th century.

Located in a small two-story building, the museum, inaugurated in 2004, houses in its interior, among other objects, the dresses worn by the virgin and the child; more than 180 pieces that are rotated every three or four months in the various exhibition halls of the structure.

In addition, there is a replica of the original image of the Divine Shepherdess, as well as various works of art, including paintings and sculptures by local and national artists.

These photos belonging to my personal archive were taken during the celebration of the recent Holy Week, and although I did not enter the museum on that occasion, I have done so on previous occasions.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El Museo Arquidiocesano Divina Pastora ubicado en la pequeña y cercana población de Santa Rosa, es una institución dedicada a la preservación, restauración y exhibición de artículos religiosos, principalmente aquellos relacionados con la Divina Pastora, una advocación mariana de origen andaluz, y que goza de una gran devoción en la región desde su llegada mediados del Siglo XVIII.

Situado en una pequeña edificación de dos niveles, el museo inaugurado en el año 2004, resguarda en su interior, entre otros objetos, los vestidos usados por la virgen y el niño; mas de 180 piezas que se rotan cada tres o cuatro meses en los diversos salones de exposiciones con los que cuenta la estructura.

Además, se encuentra una réplica de la imagen original de la Divina Pastora, así como diversas obras de arte, entre las que se incluyen pinturas y esculturas de artistas locales y nacionales.

Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé durante la celebración de la reciente Semana Santa, y aunque en esa oportunidad no entré al museo, si lo he hecho en ocasiones anteriores.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
