📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography #82 : Quiver trees in Namibia

The photo shows the Quiver tree that you will find in Namibia. (Probably in other countries as well) I was driving from Valvis Bay by the coast to Sossusvlei, when we passed this area with the Quiver trees. This three has quite a history. The San people used to make quivers of the trees, but they also used leather. These quivers would hold items like arrows etc. It is said that the tree brings luck to everyone who worships it. Namibia is a country where diamonds have been found. There is a saying, that if you dig up a tree, you find diamonds. We only saw a few trees where we made this stop, but I know that there is a Quiver Tree Forest, in southern Namibia, near Keetmanshoop.
