I Wish I'd Taken a Bag With Me ....

It was the perfect walking day this morning. The sun was out but pleasantly cool. The first part of the walk is mostly uphill but it's a steady incline so it's not too difficult. It's quite a popular circular walk but it was quite early, so not a soul was about.

There was a lovely reflection in the lake of the house and the trees.

Someone had stacked some stones for artistic purposes. A lot of people are against them as it disturbs the environment. I was a bit concerned at how precarious they all looked as I quickly walked past. I definitely didn’t want any of those landing on my toes.

As we've had a really good summer everyone's fruit trees have prospered. Some of the villagers had left some free apples and plums for passersby to help themselves.

The village allotment residents had also left a few vegetables out for people. It was at this point I wished I'd taken a bag with me!

What a lovely walk! It sounds so peaceful and serene. It's such a thoughtful gesture for the villagers to leave out free fruit and vegetables for others. I would have been disappointed not to have a bag with me too!
