French Car Show at the Car Museum - Ooh La`La`
We decided to call in at the Great British Car Journey Museum. The museum is quite local to us and has a large collection of vintage cars that enthusiasts can get up very close to.
On this visit, the museum was having a French Day, so out in the car park it was filled with Citroëns, Peugeots, and Renaults. However, it was the 2cvs that were my favourite.
As a child, I used to watch 'The Adventures of Tintin' with his faithful dog Snowy. The graphic is probably a reference to the fact that the 2cv has made several appearances in some Tintin comics. I also remember the car chase involving a yellow 2cv in the James Bond film 'For Your Eyes Only'. The 2cv has become synonymous with French culture.
It was an interesting afternoon and an added bonus that the weather stayed fine.

That’s awesome to have close by, although pretty funny to have all the French cars on show - I suppose there are only so many triumphs and bmc classics to look at. That TinTin 2cv is pretty awesome!
I like that the 2cv drivers always wave to each other out on the road. 😁👋
It's a nice chronicle of the French auto industry.
Yes, indeed. 🙂
