It's never just a coffee

She is Camila. We were coworkers until a few months ago in a coffee shop in Plaza de Marte. Nowadays, none of us work there but the friendship remains, and every so often we meet to have a cup of coffee, something we enjoy quite a lot. Since November, 2025 we didn't see each other so, when the year began we talked and decided to go for a coffee and some gossips at some place nice.

I love this place, I already talked about it in another post. It's called El Quijote and has a colonial theme that's very attractive. The coffee quality is great, and I know a lot about that of course. We opted for a Cortadito which is and expresso with a little milk, and it was just right. It's been a while since I tasted a Cortadito so well prepared.

I just love to meet with people and have a coffee and talk. It's an simple plan but a tasty one. My friends and I tend to meet very often for a coffee and, like we say it's never just a coffee. We always end up either drinking alcohol or eating sweets, and I think that's beautiful. I only hopes this tradition never dies. See, this is something coffee can do. It's its magic, it bonds people.

Last Saturday we met at one of my friend's house, the usual have a coffee and to welcome back a dear friend who came back from Brazil. I bring the coffee directly from Contramaestre (best coffee in the Eastern region if you ask me) We had our coffee, we played some games, and drank some beer. Like I said, is never just a coffee. It was wonderful.
