Coffee at the Garden Centre Tea Room

High winds had been expected today. In fact, the weather forecasters had suggested keeping our pets indoors as they might get blown away!

As I'm cat sitting for a friend at the moment, I made sure Ralph the cat was safely indoors before I popped down to the Jacksdale Garden Centre's Tea Room. I didn’t want Ralph flying through the air, and I expect he didn’t either. Anyway, I did think about putting lead weights in my pockets to hold me down, but in the end, it wasn't too bad in my area.

The café also has a Garden Room, which is an undercover outdoor area for dog owners and their dogs. No dogs out today, though. In fact, not many people had ventured out, either. The staff were really friendly and it didn’t matter whether it was your first visit or a regular, it wasn't long before I felt at home.

Oh, I do wish people would mix it up a bit and give you a different biscuit other than a blooming biscoff biscuit. They must be the most boring biscuits on the planet. I take mine home and break them up for the birds. Although, I think even the birds are getting fed up with them.

The cup was so big that I could have swum in it. It was nice and strong, just the way I like it.

This was a medium-sized veggie fry up. I'm so glad I didn't go for the large, as I only just managed to eat it all. It's not often I'm beaten, though. It's all about pacing yourself. The breakfast and coffee were definitely good value for money.

Hey, what you got against flying cats? How else was he gonna live out his favorite Superman fantasy? :D That looks like a much-deserved and quite lovely coffee break! :D

So nice to have a place to go for coffee and good food on a cold windy day. Luckily the cat won’t get blown away in the wind! Otherwise you’ll have a flying cat!
