Spill the coffee and improve the Hive ☕🐝 (eng-esp)

I will never get tired of saying that going for a coffee with friends is the best plan for all kinds of occasions. A cup of coffee can sneak in the middle of work meetings, outings with friends, meetings, workshops and much more. Therefore, when we decided to have a Hivers meeting in the city of Santiago de Cuba, the first and only option discussed was where we would go out to have that coffee.

Unfortunately the place we had chosen for that day would not open until after noon, but we are lucky that in our city there are plenty of places where we can share a good coffee. So we decided to stop at the Teresa Melo bookstore, where the MonCafé cafeteria is located. For us, who are also inveterate lovers of reading, there is no better place.

At the beginning there were only three of us, Enrique (@yecier), a friend who is interested in starting to publish on Hive and me. We took advantage of that time precisely to explain to my friend what Hive is and how it works. While we made our coffee order, they opted for the cortado coffee and I for the Creole coffee. Between sips and explanations, the rest of the friends who joined us in both the love for Hive and the love for coffee were arriving.

I remember with a lot of love the first meetings of Hivers. At that time I came to the usual cafes with many doubts and many desires to learn. Now, on the other hand, I am in the position to help those who are just taking their first steps on the platform. Although if I'm being honest, I'm just going for the coffee 😂.

Jamás me cansaré de decir que ir a tomar un café con amigos es el mejor de los planes para todo tipo de ocasiones. Una taza de café puede colarse en medio de reuniones de trabajo, salidas entre amigos, encuentros, talleres y mucho más. Por tanto, cuando en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba decidimos tener un encuentro de Hivers, la primera y única opción discutida fue en dónde saldríamos a tomarnos ese café.

Lamentablemente el lugar que habíamos escogido para ese día no abriría hasta después del mediodía, pero tenemos la suerte de que en nuestra ciudad los lugares en los que podemos compartir un buen café sobran. Así que decidimos parar en la librería Teresa Melo, donde radica la cafetería MonCafé. Para nosotros, que además somos amantes empedernidos de la lectura, no existe lugar mejor.

Al principio solo éramos tres, Enrique (@yecier), una amiga que está interesada en comenzar a publicar en Hive y yo. Aprovechamos ese tiempo precisamente para explicarle a mi amiga qué es Hive y cómo funciona. Mientras hicimos nuestro pedido de café, ellos optaron por el café cortado y yo por el café criollo. Entre sorbos y explicaciones fueron llegando el resto de amigos que se nos unieron tanto en el amor por Hive como en el amor por el café.

Recuerdo con mucho amor los primeros encuentros de Hivers. En ese entonces llegaba a los acostumbrados cafés con muchas dudas y muchos deseos de aprender. Ahora en cambio, estoy en la posición de ayudar a los que recién están dando sus primeros pasos en la plataforma. Aunque si soy sincero, yo solo voy por el café 😂.
