Enjoying an afternoon with San Domingo Premium coffee and Guava Oreo cookies [Eng/Esp]
A big hello to the Cinnamon Cup Coffee community. I welcome you to this review, which I've been eager to share with you. When it comes to reviewing coffee brands, it gives me true pleasure not only to share the experience of finding the different coffee brands available here in Venezuela, but also the anecdotes and moments you experience preparing and then enjoying this wonderful hot beverage that we all love so much. Today, I'm reviewing a coffee brand that was a pleasant surprise, although I won't deny that I was a bit worried when I bought it. It's the San Domingo Premium brand.
It turns out I had returned from my job at the university and decided to buy the most sought after coffee in these spaces in the center/east of Caracas and there are 2 very popular brands here: Café San Antonio that I have already reviewed in this space and the one that has been increasing in popularity: San Domingo, I particularly ended up with a mixed impression with the San Domingo brand and that was because I tried a variant of this brand called San Domingo Guayoyo that I had already reviewed in a previous post and I found it too mild for my taste. However, a colleague at work convinced me to buy this brand in Premium, which was the most finished form of the product and was infinitely better than the other presentations, so with that optimistic spirit of discovering new aromas and flavors, I bought this package of San Domingo Premium, which, as you can see, has quite elegant and attractive packaging.

I decided to open the coffee in the afternoon to enjoy it while watching the sunset in my city. I also took the opportunity to buy these innovative guava-flavored Oreo cookies. My dear @ineyashami told me she had already found them, and I couldn't be left behind in this exciting trend: being the first to try these guava-cream-filled Oreos.

So we began the ritual of opening the package of coffee and the first thing we did was see the appearance of the ground beans and taste the aroma once opened and I was a little worried that the aroma was not as strong as I expected, as I mentioned before I like to drink coffee strong and the aroma did not seem strong enough to me, the appearance of the bean did not look dark enough, so because of my suspicions I prepared this coffee with 4 and a half cups of coffee to make sure it was strong enough.

As the coffee brewed, my doubts dissipated, as the perfusion of the hot water over the ground beans released the exquisite aroma of the coffee. From that moment on, I knew I was in the presence of a good coffee. So, I waited for it to finish brewing while I began to open the package of cookies, where the aroma of guava was already mingling with that of the freshly poured coffee.
We tried the first sip of this coffee, and it definitely passed the test. It was a good idea to make it quite strong so I could taste the roasted beans in detail, and it's quite good. It far surpasses the "Guayoyo" version, and in my opinion, is the best presentation of this coffee brand. As for the Oreo cookies, I can only say that this is a delicacy we didn't know we needed! There was no need to sweeten the coffee in any way; drinking it with these cookies is the tastiest thing I've ever tasted! I'm officially addicted to coffee with guava Oreo cookies. Unfortunately, this is a limited edition, so I'll have to stock up on these cookies before they sell out!
Well friends, this was my review of the San Domingo Premium coffee. With this coffee I have now tried and reviewed all the presentations of this brand, the Premium being the best of all with a solid 8. It is on par with the San Antonio coffee and that is a great achievement considering that it is the brand that was the reference in the center/east of Caracas. Finally, I want to highlight those blessed guava Oreo cookies. Friends, I can't stop recommending these cookies, they are heaven! Un Gran saludo comunidad de Cinnamon Cup Coffe les doy la bienvenida a esta reseña que tenía muchísimas ganas de compartir con ustedes, ya que cuando se trata de reseñar marcas de café siento un verdadero placer no solo comentarles la experiencia de lo que fue encontrar las diferentes marcas de café que hay aquí en Venezuela, sino también las anécdotas y momentos que pasas a la hora de preparar y posteriormente degustar esta maravillosa bebida caliente que tanto nos apasiona. En esta ocasión la reseña que hoy te traigo una marca de café que fue una grata sorpresa aunque no les voy a negar que estuve preocupado al momento de comprarlo, se trata de la marca San Domingo Premium.
Resulta que había regresado de mi trabajo en la universidad y decidí comprar el café más buscado en estos espacios del centro/este de Caracas y hay 2 marcas muy populares aquí: Café San Antonio que ya he reseñado en este espacio y el que ha estado aumentando de popularidad: San Domingo, particularmente quedé con una impresión mixta con la marca San Domingo y eso fue porque probé una variante de esta marca llamada San Domingo Guayoyo que ya había reseñado en un post anterior y me pareció demasiado suave para mi gusto. Sin embargo un colega del trabajo me convenció para que comprara esta marca en Premium que era la forma más acabada del producto y era infinitamente mejor que las demás presentaciones, así que con ese espíritu optimista de descubrir nuevos aromas y sabores compré este paquete de San Domingo Premium, que como pueden ver tiene un empaquetado bastante elegante y atractivo a la vista.

Decidí abrir el café en la tarde para degustarlo mientras veía el crepúsculo en mi ciudad y también aproveche para comprar estas novedosas galletas Oreo con sabor a guayaba, mi estimada @ineyashami me comentó que ya las había encontrado y yo no podía quedarme atrás en este trending tan emocionante como es ser los primeros en probar estas oreos rellenas con crema de guayaba.

Comenzamos así el ritual de la apertura del paquete de café y lo primero que hicimos fue ver el aspecto de los granos molidos y catar el aroma una vez abierto y me preocupó un poco que el aroma no era tan fuerte como esperaba, como ya he mencionado antes el café me gusta beberlo cargado y el aroma no me pareció lo suficientemente cargado, el aspecto del grano no se veía lo suficientemente oscuro, por lo que ante las sospechas preparé este café con 4 copas y media de café para asegurarme de que quedara lo suficientemente cargado.

Conforme se fue colando el café mis dudas se fueron disipando ya que la perfusión del agua caliente sobre el grano molido liberó el exquisito aroma del café, desde ese momento ya sabía que estaba ante un buen café, así que esperé a que se terminara de colar mientras comenzaba abrir el paquete de galletas que ya el olor de la guayaba se entremezclaba con el del café recién servido.
Probamos el primer sorbo de este café y sin duda pasó la prueba, fue buena idea hacerlo bastante cargado así pude degustar con bastante detalle el tostado del grano y esta bastante bueno, supera ampliamente su versión "Guayoyo" siendo a mi juicio la mejor presentación de esta marca de café. Por parte de las galletas Oreo, solo puedo decir que este es un manjar que no sabíamos que necesitábamos! No hizo falta endulzar el café de ninguna manera, tomarlo con estas galletas es la cosa más sabrosa que haya probado antes! Oficialmente soy adicto al café con oreos de guayaba, lamentablemente esta es una edición limitada así que voy a tener que hacerme de un buen alijo de estas galletas antes de que se agoten!
Bien amigos esta fue mi reseña del café San Domingo Premium, ya con este café he probado y reseñado todas las presentaciones de esta marca, siendo el Premium el mejor de todos con un sólido 8. Está a la par del café San Antonio y eso es un gran logro considerando que es la marca que era la referencia en el centro/este de Caracas. Por último destacar esas benditas galletas oreo de guayaba, amigos no puedo dejar de recomendar estas galletas, son el cielo! Si tienen la oportunidad de conseguirlas háganlo, valen cada centavo!
