Historic café in Turin, Italy: Café al Bicerin [Eng-Esp]
English
Historic café in Turin, Café al Bicerin
Café al Bicerin dates back to 1763 and is a café known for serving a drink made with chocolate, coffee, cream, and other ingredients, but they don't tell you what those ingredients are.
The café is located in the center of Turin, opposite the church della Beata Vergine Maria Consolatrice.
According to Chat GPT, visiting this café was a must in Turin, and I must say that I agree with the chat.
The place still has the same furniture and layout as back then, so sitting there is kind of like going back in time.
I found a spot, sat down, and ordered the classic Bicerin coffee while checking out every detail of the place and the table itself.
The napkins had a text written by Umberto Eco, one of the great authors who had been there alongside Alexandre Dumas and the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
They took my order and wrote it down in pencil on a piece of paper I hadn't seen in a long time.
They quickly brought me my Bicerin coffee. The waitress told me, “Don't mix it, drink it like this,” and after the first sip, I understood why: it was a combination of sensations in a cup, where not only were the flavors delicious, but also the temperatures of the coffee, which went from cold to hot as you drank it.
It is quite an experience and the oldest classic in this Italian city located west of Milan.
The café is so old that they even sell their own products, coffee, and have a European award that recognizes its quality and longevity.
The only thing you need to prepare is your pocket, wallet, purse, or BTC... that little coffee full of sensations costs €8.40, when in general any coffee costs around €2.00.
Of course, the experience is worth it, and I recommend it.

What a beautiful cafe and definitely, as you say, to be there is to go back in time. It must be delicious the coffee they prepare there, of course they are not going to tell you the recipe and although the price is high; from my point of view it is worth it. Greetings.

The coffee is a bit expensive but worth the price because of the taste.
