FungiFriday ~ More mushrooms from my hike in Västermarks Nature Reserve, Botsmark ~ Sweden 🇸🇪 🍄‍🟫

Let’s continue today with sharing some of the stunning mushrooms I found on my hike I posted 9 days ago. I found so many, they all deserve their own grouped post. 😊
Today I show you a beautiful cluster and some very interesting looking fungi.

Today’s photographic selection will be of 9 photographs.
Date : 7 AUGUST 2024
The Photographs in this post are taken with my iPhone.
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my adventures on this walk 💃🏻 to discover everything what I saw. Like the little details seen through my eyes, and discover all the mushrooms I found.

Shall we dive right in.
Yes… here we go 😊
About half way of my hike I found this beautiful cluster of mushrooms. They were cuddled so close together… and “embraced” by some twigs if you look closely at the photos.

Getting very close to the mushrooms, you can see how tight they are growing together. I don’t think they have much space. The ones in the middle are climbing right above all the other ones. Some are getting almost no light.

From further away you see they are surrounded by berry bushes and the twig in this nature reserve. A lovely setting.

Their colour and darker pattern going out from the middle to light on the edge is great.

Next; I want to show you an interesting species of fungi I found, not much further from above’s cluster.
Easily missed as they were very small. Luckily I spotted them.

I know they are part of the corals species… but not exactly which ones. If I am correct I would say, after a quick mr google search… they are:
The strap coral ~ Clavariadelphus ligula more information you find here in Wikipedia.

We see several in this area. Next to the tree and surrounded by mosses, lichen and other vegetation. If you look at the pine cone on the left and the pine needles for size comparison you can see they are small.

I have seen many coral species but never this one before. So I was happy to find them on my hike. I took many captures, of course ;) Next to the hundreds of photos of my hike and other mushrooms haha

Stay tuned for much more interesting mushroom / fungi 🍄‍🟫 finds from this hike and other adventures in the coming Fridays when I share them.

…and here I say that’s all for today’s post my friends.

Good morning, dear friend @littlebee4

The reserve you visited is truly incredible; it seems to be the perfect place to find mushrooms.

This mushroom colony you found is amazing. I've never seen anything like it before. It's hard to believe there are so many mushrooms together.

Beautiful shots. I appreciate you sharing this mushroom hunting experience.

Have a wonderful weekend.

The first mushroom is very amazing, the way they grow is quite unique, dense and tiered. I have never found mushrooms growing stacked and neat like that. Amazing discovery, cool👍

The first batch looks like a type of honey mushroom and the second one we call earth tongue over here but ours are solid black instead of tan.
