Hi all 👋🏻

Guess what; I finally found enough mushrooms to post a few posts about them again. Especially now I moved to Ireland 🇮🇪 and I am sure I will find many many many more… as it is also almost autumn 🍂 🍁
Even now it is #summer, I found a lot already in this current season.
Ok ok… 😋 I think this year we are skipping summer as the weather is mainly rainy and cold 🙂

So… today I want to share with you some Mushrooms that I saw on a recent walk along the Shannon Blueway in County Leitrim.
I will present them to you all the way from Ireland 🇮🇪 🍄

The following photos are taken with my phone 😎 on 7 August 2023

The walk along the Shannon Blueway, where I found the mushrooms you can find in the following #WednesdayWalk post from this week: ”Irelands first floating boardwalk - along THE SHANNON BLUEWAY and a visit to a lock” starting in DRUMSHAMBO, County Leitrim - Ireland 🇮🇪

Let’s have a look at what I saw along this river:

Look at this cutie 🥰

It came with a whole colony 😎 and was growing on a tree that had fallen down. It was higher up too on the side of the path. So perfect for capturing a few photos.

Closer by… you see clearly they are reaching for some sun ☀️

Every little nook and cranny they appeared out of 😎

The moss gives a beautiful contrast… don’t you think? 😉

Some really tiny ones, sheltered in the moss 🥰

They are cute ☺️

Can you imagine how happy I was that I found so many… cuddling together 🍄🍄🍄🍄

I capture them from many angles, so I won’t miss any of them 😎

Also so I could show them all to you, in every little detail 😊 I LOVE DETAILS

I like this little group of fungi on the tree 🌳

These fungi made me extra happy that day 🍄😎
I promise… I will share much more mushrooms soon 🍄 as I found many more in lots of different colours too, so stay tuned 😊😎

I have never seen such a large colony of mushrooms, I love that they live in large communities
Your shots are very beautiful, the contrast of the color of the mushroom in the herbs make them look good

Wait what? Now it hit me you were in Scotland, not Ireland!
Ohhhh you should be able to find tons of them... the weather there is like made for fungi :)

Yep I was… from December until early May.
The UK refused my residency, so had to move out of the country again… totally unexpected!
So I am in Ireland since May now.
Tooooo many moves, I am tired 🥱 and exhausted. One day I will settle 🤞🏻

I think I will find many more 😎 can’t wait to show them all 😉 as long as it may be (that I am here hehehe 🤭)

I know…
Will stay here for now. As the UKs only option, since they left the EU, is via spousal visa. And that route isn’t funny right now long wait up to a year due to backlogs (meaning me staying in a different country and hubby had to stay in the UK what would double living expenses and not being together) high visa cost too, 3 separate applications over 5 years all could be refused at any time. And I had no priority over the refugees.
They promised me last year I could go via the eu settlement scheme as we lived together in Spain, when to move together to the UK, told me what to do, what to fill in… and then they still refused me. Oh well… their loss… I think now.

Will enjoy Ireland for sure, it’s pretty and so much to see and visit. We can live here both without problems of visas etc. So will be fine for now.

Such inviting mushrooms! But I am sure you cannot eat them. I have eaten many wild plants, but mushrooms are another level. I would only eat some if I have a very experienced guide, but then I will still be sceptical. Anyways, stunning photographs!

They do look inviting.
Not sure if they are or not. I am not good in identifying mushrooms. I understand what you mean.
I am not even going to try to forage them. Too risky. Maybe one day I learn to recognise them when I have more time to study them.

Yes for sure! You can get very sick or even die if you eat the wrong ones. Most herbs will not do that in small quantities if I am correct! Nasty stuff mushrooms when you do not know what you do. I’ll rather stick to the farmer’s markets!

I know, that’s what makes me not even touch them.
You are correct, herbs have very low quantities if they have toxins.

We are going out in a few moments, but we need to get some parts for the car, like the back window wiper… for the annual safety test we need to do soon. So it is shopping… and groceries.
If it doesn’t rain this afternoon… maybe a walk. We will see.

Looks we have both made the "Exodus", and it has taken awhile - "But it all worked"! ✨🙏🏼✨

I am about 97% moved out from the old house. Tomorrow should do it as I rented a storage unit and am putting the Garage things in there. 👋🏼👍🏼🕺👍🏼👋🏼

Otherwise...
It's Great and "Absolutely Amazing"!
And I am still, well not really but I was at #55 on the list for a place in NJ. I finally called them last Friday and told them "I Quit"! When the number comes up, give it to a "needy family".

And that's about it for now, but finally - I can be "present" here again!

Getting there… still rather busy with loads of paperwork and importing the car etc. but… bit by bit… we are getting there.

Yes, we surely both made the exodus and it has taken rather long… but here we are. And it is… was… so worth it.

I know what You mean with the "getting there"! I am in the same deal, especially with paperwork!
Even across the Island here, you have to change everything, and I have only gotten to the important things.
But I can imagine importing a car is even a little bit more!

Yes the Exodus has "finally happened"!

And it has been worth it 100%!
I did "not" get the last of my stuff out today after all....
The VA showed up late with the pickup truck...
We got to the storage, they were closed for lunch (another hour plus wait...)
I unloaded the pickup (they can only drive, not lift) and sent them on their way...
Then...
It was the wrong place! My reservation was for up the street another half a mile!
Can you believe it? A company has "2" storage places in the same street, with the same name a half a mile apart?
Well my VA advocate was gone with the truck so I was their with a mountain of stuff...
Well I made a similar deal with this guy after I explained everything (he is with the VA as well 😉😅😂).
A smaller unit, $10 more today, but $3 cheaper a month!
But after all this I did not get done and was too hot & tired (104°F)...
So that was it for today...
I will take tomorrow "off" and see how far I get Wednesday...

Yeah this whole NJ housing thing is actually "Ugly "... I am "sure" the VA is going to investigate them, actually they already have, considering what they told me.
But, if it is "Sooooo Bad" there - I am glad I didn't go. As I told them, "give it to a needy family".

I know what You mean with living between boxes! It has been as soon as I make some room here, I have another load! 😅
I am hoping in September I am living somewhat normally. Compared to how I was living I already am ahead!

So I am also in "catch-up" mode myself!

And this has been so Amazing!
From beginning to end - "now"! As soon as I decided to try something else and not believe in NJ - "BAM"! 💥
You know, I first talked with the VA here about this whole thing and how long I was waiting on March 12th!
Also wild is all the medical and other things they have given me since then, which...
I am sure I also would not get in NJ...
Amazing! As I first contacted them Nov.2nd last year, and here I am!
Wow!

Anyways..
I am sure this is getting long winded...

I always imagine little pixies or fairies around and in them. And their little outfits match the mushrooms perfectly. My sister had a beautiful ceramic mushroom castle. I was absolutely convinced it was enchanted. Still am to be honest. It has a light fitting and was hollow inside it wad these beautiful little windows so when you switched on the light it looked like the fairies had come home

These guys remind me of the deadly Galerina marginata mushrooms I find over here. They are probably a bit different possibly a type of honey mushroom.

No idea… I am bad at identifying them. I want to learn though… but will have to find time to do so.
