FungiFriday ~ Mother Nature’s little masterpiece… Västermarks Nature Reserve, Botsmark ~ Sweden 🇸🇪

Come along and check out what I will share with you today ; Mother Nature’s little masterpiece ~ a stunning little mushroom. I found it on a hike in in a Swedish forest. The Photographs in this post are taken with my iPhone.
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my adventures on this walk 💃🏻 to discover everything what I saw. Like the little details seen through my eyes, and discover all the mushrooms I found.

While wandering close to a clearing in the thick forest, I saw this stunning little mushroom. A perfect setting and the light was magical. I captured it from all angles to show you. Mother Nature can show us beautiful things if we only take the time to see them.

Its large gills stood out.

Looking at its cap… we see it is already an older mushroom. Standing still tall reaching for the sun.

Between some soft mosses and next to a lot of low growth - vegetation like blueberry bushes. Its cap is damaged top left, probably by some other forest creatures that nibbled away on it.
I like the colour of the cap. Almost metallic like, soft pinks and greys…

Looking closer at the bottom… and its gills. You can see some are eaten too. I guess some slugs had a feast. Easily reachable by climbing its stem.

I like the way the blue of the sky appears through the trees. It so compliments my photographs for today.

Mother Nature is stunning… it always takes my breath away when I find myself surrounded by just raw nature, just me… nobody else. When I see all the little details around me. It is so grounding. I can recharge myself… forgetting all the business of the world around me.

Next Friday I still have more mushrooms to show you from this hike. Stay tuned…
