Good afternoon everyone.

It is raining very hard here today due to Typhoon Betty. The winds are very strong too, which makes our stray cats scared. It is also at these times that you get sick of colds and coughs. I have a little cough, so my mom went to buy me some tiny oranges next door. There is a small vegetable stall next to our house where she bought the fruits.

I have not heard this before, but they call these oranges Kiat Kiat. It sounds funny, so I just call it oranges. They are very sweet, and I have already finished three. I am going to get one, but let me post this first as my entry to @friendlymoose's POB Photo Contest this week, which is fruits.

Stay safe, everyone. Thank you for reading.

Xoxo,

Haha, a blog post in between oranges. They call it Mandarine [ˌmandaˈʁiːnə] in Germany, and you can easily peal them off without tools. It's said that actually Oranges are cultured from Mandarin oranges. Since I wasn't there, I have no idea if that's true. !invest_vote

That's astounding to me. I've never heard of that. Yet when I do a https://presearch.com/images?q=+green+Mandarins there are lots of pictures of ripe looking fruit, while at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarin_orange#Varieties the one and only photo caption showing a green fruit sais "Unripe fruit". And even at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citrus_taxonomy#Core_species_and_hybrids I don't find anything particular referencing to green fruits, except Lime and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micrantha_(citrus) So I wonder what you have there from a foreign perspective, if mandarin is something else. !invest_vote
