What is KE??
KE?? what is that? Well, it only took me this long to really understand it. its a ratio of ur HP to something. (I'm still not 100% sure, but just focus on the score) get this.. the higher the score, the WORSE. u want to get under 3. Mine is currently over 10.. not good. :(
But,.. silver lining.. I can always improve it. Just like anything. (well, most things in life) watch my account as I will power up soon and grow. (thats what she said? err.. I mean I said to her..??)
yea.. we shall see what we see. no sense talking all about it.. the proof is in the doing, right?

my next target is dolphin. of course, whale is the finish line goal, but that might take a few years..

so yea.. if your KE score is not below 3 then there is still a ways to go.. POWER UP ppl! its just good for hive as a whole, the more and more peeps who acheive a great KE score. I am just trying to get it under 10 for sure soon, but eventually, below 3 is the target.
ps. HIVE is so cheap right now! .14 last I saw.. I tried getting some when it fell to .10, but I think my exchange wasn't taking any trades at that time. I even tried to get some using my credit card on the little widget thing in the peakd wallet, but does that ever work? I tried a few times already.. best way is still to get to an exchange, then use simple swap to transfer it to hive wallet?

Whoah! That's informative, mine is -1 😅 thought I have just made a violation that makes it negative, but as I observed few newbie accounts, I have learnt that newbies start with -1, scares the shhh out of me.

I think I know y.. KE must be like HP divided by rewards (HD) earned or like that. that's y u have -1 and I got 10.3 I think, :P (the higher, the WORSE it is) btw, u need to join FOH didcord. introduce urself on there and I want to chat u more..

yes! I wish I had ur score. keep it up! that means just keep powering up what u can to always keep a good ratio.. less than 3 is optimal. :)

What you have is exceptional 10+ KE that means You're get at least 9 times more than I get. Your aim is to go higher not come lower.

:) hmmmmmmm, I also chatted on discord with an orca and he explained that the higher the score, that means u get rewards more than u power up.. that means NOT good for hive.. so those in the know don't upvote u as much. I guess it all depends how u want to do hive. I am trying to really be a good hiver now.. :)
Well what ever is bad for the system is bad for everyone.
I guess having a high KE is not a bad thing rather it's a selfish act.

My KE ratio is 0.56 which occurred when I traded some of my Dogecoin for Hive tokens back in 2021 thru to 2022. Instantly becoming a Dolphin in the process. I was blessed by the Crypto Gods and made that move. Before that, I was upvoting Hive dust of under .03. Not anymore.

STOPYa, KE is your Hive earned (by posts and voting) divided by your Hive Power (staked HIVE).
So if you're earning Hive by posting, commenting and UP voting others, but you're not Powering up much of it, one assumption is that you're SELLing a lot of your earned rewards which is not good for anyone.
The law of Supply and Demand says price goes DOWN if Supply goes UP and/or Demand goes DOWN. We already have Hive Supply going up by over 6% a year due to token creation to pay witnesses and posters and voters. And if a lot of that Supply ends up for sale on the Markets, price goes Down, as it has been doing lately. That is not good for anyone who is doing the "right" thing and HODLing! But it IS good for someone who wants to LOWER their KE (the lower the number, the "better", generally speaking) by BUYing HIVE on the Markets.
One way to BUY HIVE is to get any crypto that you can trade on hive-engine for SWAP.HIVE and then take that out of hive-engine as HIVE which can then be powered UP. For example, Deposit BTC or LTC for a small fee, or BNB or Polygon for no fee. Then trade or swap for SWAP.HIVE.
My KE is 0.55 which means I have more HP Powered UP on here than I ever earned. About twice as much. Some of that came from ST--M which I decided to move here during the fork that created HIVE and which I still do monthly with the little ST--M I still have. Some Hive also came from trading Hive for HBD when Hive is UP and then selling HBD for Hive (more than I traded To HBD) when Hive dropped. Risky but it worked for me.
I DO Look at KE when I decide who to vote for. It is not my only criteria, but I do look and I see what KE people have.
In the end, KE is just one metric. But it should be obvious that the more HIVE people HODL instead of SELLING, the better for ALL OF US!

I know ppl love to cash out, and that's okay, but Powering UP lets you earn for the future with your UP Votes, so it may be better to delay gratification if possible.
