Journey into Agriculture
Hi everyone, I am really happy to be in this platform.
Congratulations to me for being admitted into Leventis foundation Nigeria.
This is an NGO agricultural sponsored school where I will be taught crop and animals production, agricultural engineering etc.
After registration I was taken on a tour to see some rabbits, duck, cow etc.
On the second day I was assigned to care for the cows. This was because my instructor noticed that was scared of the animals and therefore wanted to take away fear from me and I did and it was a beautiful experience.
This program will be running through to December and during the program I will be taught modern agriculture. I am really happy about because I'll be able to take advantage of agriculture and also help in the fight against food insecurity in Nigeria. My eyes is being opened to see the profit and beauty in agriculture.
I am not going to learn this alone but I'll be sharing the knowledge with everyone of us here. So please clear that your backyard that is sitting idle let's begin the agricultural journey together.
For a quick one, if you have a cow who is refusing to eat, just add salt to their feed mix with water and see wonders. Cows love salt.

So happy for you! You’re in for a great ride! I’m also scared of some animals (chickens..) but the rest is okay. It’s a wonderful experience to be able to grow your own food :)

Salt makes cows want to eat more..? That's a good concept you shared with us. How about goats? Is it the same method?
Yes sir cows love salt. Infact to boost eating give them salt in the morning. But as regards to goat sir, I am not yet taught about them but as I continue my stay here, I'll be sending more educative information on livestock.
The brave mind will venture into this, it's a journey to embark on.
