Do we have a scammer on Hive?

avatar
(Edited)

A few months ago, a woman called @seunruth contacted me. She said her mom had a transplant last year and now she’s starting a small business, but she didn’t have enough money. She asked if I could lend her 510 HBD (weird number) or 300 HBD. I asked some questions…her answers sounded okay, but I still wasn’t sure.

IMG_7324.jpeg

Then I looked through her profile and saw her post from last year, showing that a lot of people helped her…A LOT... and you guys raised a lot of money for her. She posted photos of medical records... and of course, when you see this, you believe... and because I recognized some of the user names (@arcange @pharesim @stayoutoftherz @solymi @ph1102 @knowhow92 @asgarth @hivepakistan @phoenixwren @steevc @tarazkp@kryptodenno @TheycallmeDan_ @acidyo @HiveKeychain ) and I saw she repaid some money to @ibbtammy, I decided to send her 100 HBD.

IMG_7327.jpeg

IMG_7329.jpeg

My husband didn’t believe it was legit, but I wanted to trust people. I thought, if it’s a scam, we’ll expose her. Two months later… no money back. I started to suspect something. Then someone else messaged me...she asked him for money too! I contacted her again and reminded her about our deal (45 days to repay). She replied once, saying the same thing, but now it’s been over 60 days and she stopped answering. So, I became a little Hive detective. I found her on Instagram and Facebook but I’m not sure this is the same woman. Also, the posts didn’t match her story. On Hive and X (Twitter), she messages people privately, always asking to talk on Discord.

IMG_7309.png

IMG_7314.jpeg

IMG_7315.png

Why not just post publicly like everyone else? Her posts were full of contradictions. One day she said her mom just had the transplant, the next day she said it happened last year. Then I checked the doctor’s name on her “medical report.” Turns out that doctor died in 2020. And I even found that same name listed on scam websites.

IMG_7325.jpeg

So I had an idea...we live in an AI era, right? I uploaded her “hospital bills” that she posted, and asked AI if it was real. Do you want to know what I found out?

IMG_7302.jpeg

IMG_7330.jpeg

IMG_7331.jpeg

( It's copy-paste from AI)

🏥 1. The “Medical Report” and “Receipt”

Files reviewed:

  • A “Medical Report” signed by Dr. Johnson Williams
  • An “Etta Atlantic Hospital Receipt” for ₦102,000

Major inconsistencies:

  • The header says “Government of Lagos State” — but Etta Atlantic is a private hospital, not a government facility.
  • The doctor named Johnson Williams cannot be verified as a staff member.
  • The contact email uses Gmail instead of an official hospital domain.
A genuine government hospital report would usually come from institutions like Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), General Hospital Lagos, etc.
➤ This mismatch is a major red flag.

The supposed consultant nephrologist lists [email protected] — official hospital documents never use free email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).
➤ Legitimate reports would use an official domain (e.g. @ettaatlantic.com).

  • Text contains grammatical errors and inconsistent pricing for treatments.
  • No hospital stamp, signature, or serial code — all expected on real hospital documents.

➡️ Verdict: Both documents are likely forged to gain sympathy and solicit money.

💰 2. The “Bank Alert” and “Opay Receipts”

Files reviewed:

  • A “bank alert” showing ₦10.8 million credited to account 0773526838
  • Three “Opay” transfer slips (₦300,000, ₦50,000, ₦50,000)

Red flags:

  • The fake bank alert lacks any bank name, short code, or transaction reference.
  • The text format looks manually typed — not system-generated.
  • The “Opay” receipts show fake support email addresses and inconsistent formatting.
  • No QR code, transaction verification hash, or real timestamps.
  • These are classic fake proofs of payment used by online fraudsters to look credible.

➡️ Verdict: All payment proofs are fabricated or edited screenshots.

⚠️ 3. Common Scam Pattern

This set of materials follows a well-known scam structure:

Fake hospital letter → Emotional appeal for help → Fake payment proofs → Request for funds.

The goal is to make victims believe in a medical emergency or housing transaction that doesn’t exist.

No official hospital or verified financial institution supports these claims.

✅ 4. What To Do

  • Do not send money or personal information to anyone presenting these documents.

🧭 5. Summary Table

CategoryDocumentVerdict
Medical Report“Government of Lagos State – Etta Atlantic Memorial”Fake / Inconsistent
Hospital ReceiptEtta Atlantic “Dialysis” receiptFake / Template-based
Bank Alert₦10.8M credit SMSFake / Manually typed
Opay ReceiptsThree transactionsFake / Edited screenshots

🧩 Conclusion

All analyzed materials are fraudulent.
This case fits the pattern of a medical-donation or real-estate scam that uses fake hospital branding and counterfeit payment slips to deceive potential victims.

So…do we have a scammer among us?

Oh, and also… “The phone numbers printed on both documents are publicly known scam numbers often reused in donation fraud cases pretending to represent Lagos hospital”

We all see she’s active on Hive every day, but doesn’t reply to any messages… 🤔😂
Time to do something.

And yes, all of her posts are written with AI. She doesn’t even wait a day or two to “finish” another book before posting a new review.

So dear woman… or man, @seunruth,
We are all here to build something real….to share our stories, make friends, and help those in need.
And then you come and scam the people who actually care? Shame.

Thanks for reading, and guys, share it with other people…

With love, @tinabrezpike ❤️

Oh, no... 😞 I'm sorry for your loss... I have to admit that I didn't do my diligence when I was asked for help... :( The amount that I sent was small, but it looks like she/he used that to "promote" themselves to be a "reputable" person... 😡

I trusted based on their feedback.

Huh... That's even worse! I suppose there was no bad intention behind those people... Maybe they were a bit irresponsible to vouch for someone that they don't know personally... 😞

What? They vouch for her? Fuck… that's bad…I couldn't vouch for it for her when someone asked me if it was legit, so I did some research. Too late for me, but not for others…I would feel so bad if I said to someone she should send her money…

I wouldn't say it looks legit. I'm a medic from the same country. The first thing that tipped made me believe that this is a probable scam was the fact that she/he paid funds into an opay account. Not just small funds but in millions.. that's sus AF.

Again, another suspicious thing is the price of dialysis.

IMG_7331.jpeg

Currently, in Federal medical center umuahia, Abia state, Nigeria, the price of dialysis is around 70 to 80k (not including other hidden charges in the ward) This hospital is owned by the government and many things are funded by National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). If this patient was under NHIS, her bills will be way more cheaper than 25k naira per dialysis. (I don't really know whether or not NHIS covers the bill for dialysis).

Again, another thing that's sus about this bill is the way it's made (treatment for anemia). Who makes Bill like this? This is pure BS. They just added treatment for anemia (patient's diagnosis) which a hospital will not do. People that does this kind of things are quacks that operate in a small chemist shop. They tell their patient vocally. They don't write it.

A medical bill in Nigeria consist of a lot of things. S/C, utility, syringes used, DRF, e.t.c, not just "treatment for anemia." Each and every thing has its own price. Also, a hospital don't put an option for discount so that you will pay everything. Though at times, patients can beg the hospital to pay a certain amount. Maybe 90% of the original bill.

There are a lot of things here that is really sus to me, but then, I think these are enough points.

My disappointment with all these things is that it's spoiling the already spoilt reputation of Nigerians. The most annoying part of this is that it's a medical scam. What if a legit user encounters an issue that requires help? People will feel reluctant to help that person because of this kind of thing..

I think this receipt is made up too because that looks like somebody's phone number. I'm not a gtb bank user, but then, I dont really think their that account number is legit.

How could people from other countries know this is not how you pay hospital bills in Nigeria? I know there is no health care there, or maybe better said, not for everyone. I mean, we don't receive bills for our taxes because health care takes care of it… but those scames can more from every other countries with no health insurance.

How could people from other countries know this is not how you pay hospital bills in Nigeria?

Its kind of difficult to know how a medical bill is done if youre not Nigerian. Even, some Nigerian don't know how a medical bill looks like probably because they don't pay much kind to it.

I know there is no health care there, or maybe better said, not for everyone..... but those scames can more from every other countries with no health insurance.

Actually, Nigeria is more developed than most people think. There is health care for everyone in Nigeria given that they can get themselves to the hospital. We have hospitals, and PHC centers in many corners of the country. Though it may not seem enough, I think its sufficient.

We also have an insurance agency for health, National Health Insurance Scheme.

0

avatar

But they still have to pay so much? I mean, why pay for treatment if you have health insurance? 🤔🤔 My epilepsy pills cost me around €1,000 per month, and my injection for Crohn's disease, without insurance, would cost me €25,000, which I need every six weeks. There's no way I could survive without health insurance, and that's why I gave her money…I genuinely thought she needed it for her mom's treatment and now she doesn't have any and needs for the “business.” In my group, people really don't have the money to buy this because they lack insurance and are from the USA or some African countries. So how could I know this isn't true? Oh my, she probably read all of my articles about my health issues and knows she can play the sympathy card on me. I genuinely don't know how the health treatments and health insurance work in Nigeria…

Not many people enroll for insurance. They feel like that don't need it because they don't visit the hospital frequently. Some even said that they could stay a year without going to the hospital for anything, so, there is no use to get an insurance.

Insurance makes things very cheap, but people don't want to enroll, thus, the reason why bills are so high for patients.

With an insurance, A patient would be paying 10k naira for a 100k naira medical bill. It covers a large portion of the bills.

0

I see this situation differently than most people there. If you're not sick, you probably don't need it, but your health can change in a day. One day you're healthy, and the next day you could be in the hospital with an untreatable disease. You never really know what life will bring. In my case, I was perfectly healthy, and then one day, my life changed. Two years later, a new untreatable disease appeared. I ended up in the hospital so many times that I would probably have to pay more than half a million dollars without insurance. During that time, I was also unemployed, but I still paid for insurance because, like I said, you never know.

If this is true it's sad because it spoils not just things on hive but the reputation of Nigerians. I have been in similar situations and I asked for help and also people thought I was a scammer now it makes a lot of sense if people are experiencing things like this. They are quick to look In that direction.

It's rather unfortunate we have people like this spoiling our reputations. Bad eggs and Judases here and there!!!...

I'm still owed $225 by a Nigerian on this blockchain and it's been quite some time but I'm not too worried about it. I feel like it's a matter of personal trust and reputation built between two people and perhaps even the community at large. This person didn't seem to have anyone that could vouch for her... at least not when she was talking to me a year ago.

True. Vouching is very important. But when you write a post about how you get 4k with the help of Hive, tag a few good names, and mention health issues. Unfortunately, we can fall for scams. Funny that I always said I won't fall for Nigerian prince and queen scams. I did on the Nigerian health scams.😂

Hi @tinabrezpike! I’m back after further review, she’s indeed a scam. Not just borrowing money but using other people’s name to lie. This is annoying to me for personal reasons. I can't believe this. I saw her on Hive before and probably sent her some help, even if it was a small amount. I did it because she seemed legit, just like you, and many people had done it before me. Things like this don't usually happen on Hive; there's no asking for loans or anything like that. This kind of thing breaks people's trust. Tomorrow, when someone asks for help with something important, probably no one will want to help. Or it will require a lot of information to verify its authenticity.

I did a Discord search and look what I found. What a shame... I censored the username but you know who she is.

Thanks a lot for clarifying that and your detectiveness...

honestly good job! I think i recall this, didn't give any money, in case i will donate to someone in here, either i will know him/her or check his/her activity and years in here. Still you never know though. On the bright side, we got good people in here that are ready to help!

Thanks for putting in all the time to research! It's so easy to scam here... My mentor always says:

"It is crazy easy to earn a small amount of money at hive"

And with a little bit of scamming talent, there's so much more to make. I like that you trust first, I'm the same, and have burned myself many times. Do you think it is easier because it's something that you earned while having fun, while writing? Do you think you'd be as trusting if it was a person you didn't know, but wanted 100€ sent to their PayPal or something?

For me it still is. I don't have that big investment in Hive yet, most comes from writing here. Working on turning that around, though...

This is truly a sad story — someone actually took advantage of the kindness of HIVE users to scam money. (At the same time, it also shows how kind-hearted and helpful our HIVE community members are.)

As for this kind of scammer, they must be exposed, so that they can never deceive anyone on HIVE again and will have no place to stand in our community.

Take a look at this first

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new

But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does

Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters

Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

I will keep updating this post when I get time

Wow!!!!!!

I'm awestruck to read this. I also sent her some hive last year to show support since it involved health and life.

Funny enough she came back to my discord DM two or three months ago and here is the screenshot.

1761108601808.jpeg

Now I feel grateful to God I didn't give her a dime this time, reason being that I too was broke at that time.

Mehn. How do you go around ripping people off their hard earned money? You just wanna reap where you didn't sow and even went as far as faking medical report?

@tinabrezpike I also made some research after reading this. Obviously the medical report was scam. The real address of that hospital is at Lekki. Here's the proof.

Screenshot_20251022-054522.jpg
But hers stated it is in Mushin. There's nothing like Government of Lagos State, it is usually Lagos State Government.

I feel so broken knowing @seunruth had the gut to scam a lot of people who only showed empathy by her "situation". This is why people find it hard to do good.

@seunruth what is your gain now? You're probably living a comfortable life right now from the millions you stole from people. Always remember karma is a bitch! It will find you and deal with you.

You just made it harder for the next person who will truly need genuine help.

It irks me!!!

Thanks for clearing this up!
She also asked me about money. I didnt send anything because I was suspicious right away.
I was asked for money on Hive so often during the last years. In the beginning I helped a few times but never got the money back except one time. So I completely stopped giving people money. When someone asks me, I became suspicious.

It's sad because I love to help, and the ones that really need help are discredited by the scammers. Because no one trusts them anymore.

Hive has so many ways of earning, people should just get creative and find their ways, instead of just begging and scamming. It takes time to build up a good account with high reputation, and these people are just too lazy to do it.

I feel bad because she entered my discord server a while ago. I hope no one was harmed because she found your names in there.

She looked so innocent to be a scammer. Well, looks can be deceptive.

I only supported her then with some amount and upvotes too. Even reblogged her posts and always upvotes her posts each time I stumbled on them.

It's really a pity that you lost such a huge amount of HBD to her. Ah 100 HBD isn't small money. 🙆

I too was contacted by her (or him) in the past. As I have been working in Information Security for many years, it is my natural reaction to distrust things. I've read too much about scams and seen many of them as well.
It is not always pleasant to be suspicious because the real people in need of help suffer from this, which is actually quite sad. I seldom donate money to people or projects that I'm not close to 100% sure they are legit.

You did a good and thorough research. My compliments. As scammers use AI nowadays, you can also use it to expose them.
I hadn't seen the hospital bills before, but the first thing that I noticed when I saw it in your post was the Gmail address. That was quite a red flag for me.

Again, it is sad that these scammers ruin it for the people that really are in need 😢

The paper looked legit, and I didn't look any deeper…I mean, I don't know how the medical reports from other countries look, that's why I didn't think twice 🤔 my fault, but I know now for the next time how to do research… like you said, why not use AI for those kinds of things if we have this possibility now 😏😌

my fault

Most people are by default trusting. It's my professional deformation that makes me extra alert on scams.

She tried to do the same thing with me twice, the first attempt being more than a year ago.
Not sure if it's a good or bad thing, but I lost so much believing people so easily that it turned me into reading them very easily by judging on how they reply and speak, hence why I knew instantly she wasn't legit.
So the single advice I could give her was to stop doing this because it will only attract bad consequences, which I had hoped would be enough to understand.
I didn't follow her on Hive, nor I ever realized how she reached out to me on discord since I am not active in any discord servers, nor we were following each other on Hive, but I guess she basically enters all the Hive related discord servers and spams everyone with her fake needs.
It's sad to see this still happening, especially since it seems lots of people fell for her/him and actually donated, but I think it's a lesson that we should all learn from.

Oh, believe me, it was a big lesson for me 😏 I also don't know how she added me on Discord…I mean, I'm not very active there, so I didn't even know you cannot add people just like that, that you need code, or that we need to be in the same community…still not sure actually how it works 🤔

They are everywhere! Every excuse, every possible story! You can't trust anyone!
I remember once, I was living in London, in a rent flat. It was the first time I had a... a phone. And they called me and they said they were calling from my phone company. And they wanted to check something about the line. So they were asking about my name and etc. And I was like, why do you need my name? I'm not the landlord. Surely, if you're the company, you must have the details. But they were like, oh yeah, yeah, but we need to check something about the line. So, can you give me your phone number, your mobile phone number, and I'll send you an app. And you just have to accept. So basically, they wanted me to accept to control my phone. And obviously, they could get my money or anything from that one. They have the control. And I was like, how? Like, seriously? How can be this? There's still people falling for these things. You should never trust anyone. Even if it's your bank calling you, asking for money.

I had her on Discord as well - first did not react fast as i had nt time, got a reminder - and ignored her as i got a strange feeling since start - I helped several folks here but her approach was too pushy. First time my German attitude was correct. In thre end she stopped being pushy though - I trusted what i saw on Hive who helped out, so thought all legit, considered to give her something.

She had a seemingly good plan (Ponzi), and it has been executed perfectly so far. At first glance, everything looks legitimate, but when you start digging, the red flags begin to appear.
Why now...This is my theory...
She couldn't find anyone to lend her the money for the payback... and she knew that @tinabrezpike would write a post... that is why she didn't post anything for the last 12 days, so she could keep her reputation.

It's a huge surprise to me that this upsets so many people here.

In the meantime, much, much more money is spent on ongoing scams (not only in Africa) through the DHF, which is decided by a few people, but everyone loses, however only very few people talks about that!

0
0
0.000
avatar

We all know people around the world are being scammed. But how could you be surprised that this upsets people? She scammed people who don't have a lot of money. And so what? Should we leave her here so she can take more money from the people? Honestly, I don't understand what you meant by that. People were scammed here, and it's normal that we are upset. It's not a big community, and nobody here deserves being scammed…

0
0
0.000
avatar

I surprised, because this scam was about few hundreds bucks, but through DHF each year few $100k goes for scams, what 3-4 whale's vote decides, but the money taken from everybody, the Hive sell pressure makes everybody poorer.

There, they don't even bother to show fake invoices, even if it were asked plenty times about plenty obvious scam "projects". They just keep ignoring it, and keep running the scams from DHF money - and nobody knows where the money really goes.

Very few people say something against that.

And this one. Sorry, but it was an obvious scam!

Anyway, never trust anything coming from Nigeria (online scam capital) nor Venezuela (2nd place)!

Too bad Hive focusing on these countries, but above you kinda can see the reason why...

People are usually kind and willing to help. We trust our community, and we don't know exactly how much money she stole. Apparently, it was 4k last year, but I don't believe that's true. Yeah, we all suspect it was a scam. Me included, and it's my fault for not doing research before giving money. I don't care about my money, but she stole from people with much less than me. So what? Does this mean we can't trust anyone anymore? Are we living in a world filled with people who only scam others? Are there no genuine people who need money for health reasons? Should I not give money to those in real need? Because now, everyone seems to be a scammer. I don't have the heart to ask for money for my health problems, but those truly in need should be able to ask and deserve some help from us. I know some people from Nigeria and they truly need money and are not scammers. Not all of them are from this country…

People are usually kind and willing to help.

We live in a different world for sure!

Well... 😀 you do with your money whatever you want! You can send over to the other side of the world to unknowns or give to a 'charity' organization in the west - all of these are usually scams. Not theft, stealing, as you are willingly give them your money.

If I would have that much money that I can help others - and want -, I definitely would do it in my area, where I live, know people, sure there are enough people who you can help on.

Here are few videos why you don't do anything with Nigerians, especially online (generally with anybody online with who you don't know from real life). Being a scammer is basically a career opportunity there with respect by others!!! - and the poor ones, who really need the help there, can't even access to internet, don't own pc, smart phone etc.

The real reason why so many scammers from Nigeria

Just an example

The Hive discord servers are full with these mostly Nigerian scammers, so Hive itself.

Anyway, very strange the westernian mentality. They are willing to kill each other by their own kind based on silly ideology differences, simply because both are honest, but they are also willing to send their wealth to organized criminals, simply because those are kindly bagging, they say what other want to hear... silly world and people!

4k last year! When an average monthly salary $100-200 in Nigeria... Nice!😅 Too bad these people who donated don't care this much about Hive itself, but at least their own surrunding people at their own place.

Being dangerously naive is 1 thing, but being blind, ignore pure facts is another.

Officially Hive DHF giving $50-100k+ just for dwells in Africa, including Nigeria, what goes from DHF and almost nobody complains, meantime that's just another scam. Several people asked for proof, and always was totally ignored!

So very similar scam exist in the heart of Hive, in the DHF!

Ah, okay... So, all Nigerian people are scammers? How can you say that? I know some of them, and they are great people. I work with a Nigerian, and he is the sweetest boy I've ever met. Yes, he said it's hard in the country and many people do bad stuff, but there are still people who truly need help and don't go around scamming others. And what? Are we now bad persons because we help someone in need, just because we do it over the internet? Do you think or better said you know, we don't help local people or animals in shelters? And yes, we give our money voluntarily, but if someone asks to borrow money and then doesn't pay it back, isn't that wrong? Is it my fault because I trust people over the internet? I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but if you're so sure that scams are at the heart of Hive, then what are you doing here?

😀 You see what you are doing? You were just scammed by a Nigerian, but suddenly that's your biggest problem: "how can I say all of them are scammmers?" what anyway i never said, it is how your wrongly programmed mind works at the current state, so you try to give it in my mouth... I said, probably not a good idea to trust in someone who you never met and from the capital of online scams... it has a bit different meaning, don't you think so? You should ask yourself, why you react like I made a personal attack on you? when i didn't. just highlighted a pure fact, what most westernians don't know until they don't get scammed.

Better learn from others' mistakes, and if you see a proven pattern, don't fall for it again, don't even give chance for that. You can call it stereoptypes or what so ever, I don't care!

And how I said so, you can still send all of your wealth to Africa (meanwhile your own westernian companies and political, economical leaders keep it so poor hand in hand with corrupt african leaders, not me), I also don't care - unless you do not want to force others to do the same (how DHF does it here, on Hive).

And the main point, what i tried to say, but you just kept ignoring: the Hive DHF based on 3-4 big whales votes running a similar scam hand in hand with Africans (actually, that's the better case) and basically just forcing everybody to give away our wealth to Africa, for scams, without chance to decide. It goes since years. Nobody bother. When invoices were asked, they just refused to provide any. And those are much higher amounts (both what is given from DHF directly to who knows who, and the obvious sell pressure, ergo lower Hive price, what comes with it).

P.i: Maybe you should visit lovely Nigeria, to see reality and try to set yourself free from your programming!

Ok, it looks like we didn't understand each other. If you felt I put words in your mouth, that was definitely not my intention. But why did I react that way? You wrote Here are a few videos why you don't do anything with Nigerians, especially online, and I took it to mean all of them. My fault for misunderstanding. Yes, I always said I wouldn't fall for Nigerian scammers with their shity 'Hello my queen' messages, but I fell for health scams, and I took it personally because I'm not healthy, and it hurts when someone scams people with health issues. But there are people out there in Africa I don't know personally, and I send them money because they needed help with healthcare, and they weren't scammers. It hurt me so much that someone plays on this vulnerability, especially with me. She read my articles, knew I was sick, and still did that. But there are Nigerian people who are genuinely sick. I don't know if you understand what I mean 🤔. And second, in Europe, we are not so easily scammed. I haven't experienced it myself, but if you watch YouTube, there's a German man who investigates European scams. Mostly, those scams happen in person, not online. You know, like ordering a beer that costs 2€, but when you pay, it's 10€—and they didn't even give you a menu, so it's your fault for not asking 😂. I must also mention something I just remembered…a few months ago, some hacker groups compromised our payment system and took all our data. Our company didn't want to pay the hackers to avoid releasing our data on the dark web, so they went ahead anyway. Someone has all my data, but luckily not my bank details. A few days later, fake numbers from different countries started calling me, sending messages with links claiming someone was using my Binance account, and so on. Then someone started calling me, and after five calls, I thought, 'I'm bored, let's play.' I could tell he was from India because of his accent. He told me someone ordered from my Amazon account for around 500€, and if it wasn't me, they would help me cancel it. I just needed to give them my account info 😂. I started laughing because I used to work for Amazon, and nobody will call you like that. Why would they? They don’t care who’s ordering from your account 😂. So I said no one would scam me because I watch too many videos and know how people get scammed. Boy, was I wrong. Unfortunately, she played me well, but it's my fault for trusting her without doing research beforehand. So, I’m sorry… it came out wrong. And no, I don’t have the courage to go to Nigeria. They'd probably take all my medication and arrest me 😂. They’re expensive, so maybe it’s worth stealing 😂. One more time, I’m sorry. Can I ask where you're from?

I hope she is no longer around and won't deceive Hive users now. It's better for her not to create a new account.

@tinabrezpike...

I must comment as well. After learning about this, and then reading your post. I was just as upset as everyone. While I did not send/lose a large amount of finances... I did spend a GREAT deal of time with @seunruth in DM on Discord. I also suggested that she use my community as the place to post her content. Had I known what she was going to do, I would NOT have done so. I created Thoughtful Daily Post as a place everyone could share thoughtfulness, and positivity NOT ripping people off of their finances, let alone personal time. I know I am not alone when I say thank you... If I had the 100 HBD to give you, I would...

I am really shocked and sadden. Because I had my fair share of parental issues (not as bad as changing a kidney, but bad enough as it relates to organ transplant issue for my mom) I did donate a tiny bit that I had to her account.
It is so sad that there are still ill-hearted people who choose darker path by adopting the characteristic from the father of all lies. Judgement will come and truth will be revealed.

There is a Chinese saying to those who scam people for a living with ill intentions, "be careful of your last few years"
My elderly relatives do like to say that, and those with ill intentions did meet with that "karma".

I just noticed the doctor's signature, I have never seen such a signature from a specialist before. Those I knew had a very unique signature style and they are not clumped up like this.

Thank you for the detective work. Some people are so brilliant in their evil one regrets that they don't invest it in doing good, and then we meet people like you who are using your brilliance for good, and feel better about the world.

You're welcome ;) Luckily, there are still more honest people and not so many scammers. But it's hard to find every one of them 🤔

Diagnosed with edema🤣🤣. There is no such thing in this planet a doctor calling edema as diagnosis. Its just a clinical sign.
After kidney transplantion post operatively we have to look for infections and any rejection.

...crazy how many people fell for this scam 😳
NEVER EVER send any money to dubious strangers on the internet!

she asked me too, but after some research (she postet a lot of comments on hive) it was clear that she asked plenty of people with the same copy-paste message... so it was kinda obvious thats a scam

Yeah... I know... I should do better... my husband told me it was a scam, and I also had a feeling it was a scam. I told her I would expose her if she's lying, but I still gave her money. Maybe she won't scam others now... and yeah, it was my fault 😒

This is absolutely outrageous...Why will someone use something like that to scam in the first place
Everyone needs to stay clear because they'll come with another strategy

Probably yes, but a lot of people genuinely need help. We just need to be more careful.

It's unfortunate there are people who are dedicated to scamming others...
I hope you can get your money back.
In the meantime, I applaud your generosity because it proves you're a good person.
Have a nice day!
