It's that time of the year again!

I spent half a day at our county fairgrounds with friends.
And we had loads of fun!!!

We ate tons of tacos, as a fundraiser for our church. But I regret 😌 not trying this new food (to me, anyway) 👇.

I love a good county or state fair! Our Minnesota State Fair is coming up and I also love sampling food and visiting interesting exhibits!

I used to live in Yolo County. We had a house in Davis and all of my kids were born in the Woodland hospital. Lovely area!

He @jayna! I moved here (Woodland) some 8-1/2 years ago. I love it because it is a separate city... farms separate Woodland homes from other cities. And crimes rates are much lower than in Davis.

I used to love going to the fair as a kid, but I haven't been in forever. Anymore it's just too crowded and expensive. My favorite part was always the vendor buildings where you could get free stuff. I didn't know what SWAG was at the time, but I was hooked!

The food looks awesome, so many booths with good stuff. The bacon wrapped hot dogs sound very healthy! lol

The Pica Dulce candy sounded good, probably something like mango with chili powder. Glad you had a good time, a great way to enjoy the weekend @silversaver888 !

It looks like it was a lovely time! I'm so sorry I missed the pig parade; the video says it's private and won't play. I wouldn't mind going to another fair, but they are done for the year here in my area.

I have the Pacific National Exhibition starting up now. I used to live close to the fair grounds and attended several consecutive years in my teens. So many memories st that place And spent a lot of my summer job cash too.

Yes, the food wasn't exactly healthy either, the PNE is THE junk food center of the universe.

I love visiting places like this; time flies by so quickly, I think it's even better than shopping malls. Of all the things you shared, this roast chicken would be a wonderful addition to my life right now.

One question: it says the pig race video is private and I can't watch it. Do I need to do anything to access it?
