Hospital Visit and Artwork

I went for my scheduled appointment and had another ultrasound

to check out my liver and kidneys. It's important to make sure these vital organs are doing their job properly. The liver filters out toxins, helps with digestion, and stores energy, while the kidneys filter waste, balance fluids, and regulate blood pressure. Regular ultrasounds help keep an eye on their health and catch any potential issues early on.

Hospital rooms have definitely evolved to be more patient-friendly.

The moving colored lights projected onto the ceiling can create a calming and engaging environment, which can help patients feel more at ease during procedures like ultrasounds. It's all about making the experience a bit more comfortable and less intimidating. It was quite fascinating!

It's great that hospitals are thinking about ways to make the environment more pleasant for patients. The colorful, moving lights on the ceiling are a nice touch to keep my mind occupied during the ultrasound.

A little bit of visual distraction can make the experience a bit more relaxing because I was feeling a bit anxious.😊 Those colorful lights in the ultrasound room were pretty cool! It's interesting how little things like that can make a medical appointment a bit more comfortable.

The other parts of the room had artwork on the walls.

Artwork and moving lights made my hospital visit way less stressful. It's amazing how those little touches can make such a big difference, right? It definitely made the experience a lot more pleasant for me.

Modern hospitals have come a long way in creating more comfortable and calming environments for patients (and visitors!). From soothing lighting and peaceful decor to incorporating nature-inspired elements... these changes certainly made a difference in how I felt while I was there, sis.

Nice to see that the room is more patient friendly! Most hospitals still aren't quite there in my opinion. I hope the results come with a very positive outcome, I've become sick of hospital trips myself... I guess we aren't as young as we once were. Take care!

Oh yeah, that is pretty nice that they do that for you in the room. I remember when I had my ultrasounds it was just a random room all industrial looking and stuff :P

It's amazing how much difference a more thoughtful and comforting environment can make! Those industrial-looking rooms definitely don't help when you're already feeling anxious or uncomfortable.

A little bit of art or some calming lights can go a long way in making medical visits more bearable. It’s great to see more places catching on to the importance of a welcoming ambiance.

I've always like the ones where they put up special wallpaper to make you feel like you are in a forest. I remember the radiation room had that at the oncology center. It as like you were in a birch forest.

I hope you got a clean bill of health Saver. I’ve never seen the lighted ceiling yet.
I take Milk thistle, turmeric, ginger and dandelion to keep my organs clean. Hopefully it’s working.

You mentioned not having physically seen your general practitioner. It's quite common these days to rely on virtual appointments and consultations. While in-person visits are important, especially for certain check-ups and treatments, it’s great that technology allows us to stay in touch with healthcare providers even from a distance. Do you have that where you live?

oh yes, kaiser is all about the phone/video calls vs actual physical appointments. :P i dont mind tho, because i would rather not be bothered also.. :) i will save the real dr. visits for when i am an older old man. (i am 50 now)
