Community In Panic Mode

I thought I would share some of the messages that have been passing through our community feed over the last couple of days. I am just a little stunned that none of them have done anything to improve their security.
This week on Thursday night we had the elusive "spiderman" return when he triggered off alarms on two different properties. I see him as more of a nuisance and I am hoping the community will take this a little more seriously this time. I was patrolling on my own many months ago when he was at large and he suddenly stopped.
We live in a secure guarded community, but there are some houses that back onto other houses who are not part of the secure area. You would have to be a proper banana to think you are secure and not have extra security at the back of the property. These are the weak links in our community and why you still have to be vigilant.

Last night I was out and about until 3.30am and all was quiet and normal which is often the case. I have told them to inform me immediately if an alarm is triggered and the exact house number and I have nearly given up on them. Surely you ensure your house is secure even when you live in a protected zone? I have noticed these houses all have nice cars, but plead poverty scrimping on security so you reap what you sow.
Maybe I think differently as I have lived on the outside and know how bad things are and you are just more aware. This afternoon a house was broken into and these fools are still thinking the entry is being made through the front entrance and not at the rear of the property. Every attempt has been made through the rear of the property so surely you make sure you have adequate security covering all sides and not leave your backside hanging in the air.

When I read these messages I did not get involved when they mentioned he must have forced entry through the front gate. I suppose they will only pay attention once they have become a victim and not before. I know these properties all have something in common and that the electric fence is only on the front wall and not wrapping their properties. This basically allows full access to all these properties once you are in the back garden of one of them.
My neighbor and ourselves are secure as we have full coverage and double fences between our properties. The fence will be serviced this week making sure the correct current is flowing though it's wires and the fence alarm works. I do not even think we need this and if I felt threatened in any way I would be staking out the area at night until I caught him. Those experiencing the problems should be the ones who are being proactive by upgrading their security and not being a weak link.
There is always someone at home and if no one is here we have Brock inside who is a 73Kg guard dog with jaws that demolish lamb leg bones within 5 minutes. Good luck if you want to come inside because you will not be exiting and I am sure "spiderman" knows this. I love big dogs and having an enforcer like Brock on the property is a big bonus.

Wow ! That is incredible.
The different lives we lead and this is kind of normal. If I was worried or concerned I would be out hunting whoever this is at least 3 or 4 nights in a row until I caught them. These people are half asleep and have no idea.
Do you have a pic of Brock eating that spiderman's leg.
Not yet, but if he hops into our yard I will get some good action photographs.
Indeed, it’s unfortunate that some people believe living in a gated community means complete safety, which is a dangerous illusion. True security requires a more comprehensive approach.
