Itchy Feet .:. Late Night Blogging

When the last #HiveFest finished, I said to myself that I would never again miss any! That was my first "real life" #HiveFest which fulfilled my expectations... I went to Amsterdam alone, and came back home with some new friendships under my belt! I have even met this year a friend from #HiveFest again! Isn't that awesome?

Unfortunately, this year I couldn't afford the trip to Mexico for numerous reasons... I had goodwill to go, but the stars did not align and I have failed my promise from last year... 😔 Despite that, I will follow the event online as I suppose that it will be covered on live stream... I hope... Btw. if you can go, I would strongly recommend doing it! When the event is over, you can jump to the next HIVE meetup... 🙂

As I had itchy feet because of NOT going to #HiveFest, I put my ear on the ground to hear if there would be some good meetup close to me where I could go... @solymi had an early idea to create a meetup in Hungary for those who can't go to HF, and I liked that idea a lot... Unfortunately, he had his offline obligations and wasn't able to do it...

So, when @gtg threw his post about the @HiveBeeCon, all stars moved back in alignment again... 😃 The FOMO kicked in, the websites with plane tickets were re-activated and pushed to the highest position of the Bookmark toolbar, and Booking.com became the Homepage of my browser... 😂 Plane ticket in one direction is already bought, and I'm waiting for a bear market and price drop for the ticket in other direction...🙂

Where can we meet? When?

The "event", or better said meetup, will happen in Kraków (Poland), on October 7th... So, if you go to the #HiveFest, you can easily come to #HiveBeeCon when the first is over... I heard that maybe some of the HF participants will do that... 🤔 If you seek more detail about it, don't forget to follow @hivebeecon's account to stay informed with additional information...

For beginning, check out the official announcement post and the second post with more details about the venue where the meetup will help... If I heard well, there will be some additional "mini-excursion(s)" and I expect a lot of networking around the date as some will come earlier, or leave a few days after the meetup...

As I said at the beginning, I had a blast at the last #HiveFest... I know that you are probably an introvert, like most of us 😃, but believe me, you will have tons of fun if you come... I met some great people last year, and I hope that I will meet some new people at this event, and of course, meet some old friends!

So, save the date - October, 7th 2023, Kraków, Poland! See you there!

Thank you for your time,

~ph~

PS. I would like to poke my friend @awildovasquez whom I met last year, as I know he lives very close to Poland! I hope you will be able to come!

It sounds like it will be good fun in Krakow and can make up for not making it to HF in Mexico. 🙂❤️

It will be fun 100% as always when Hivers gather... 😃 Do you have any plans for that date? 🤔

I think there should be two HIVE Fests at the same time, one in the northern hemisphere and the other one is in the southern hemisphere so that more people would be able to attend :)

Maybe that's not a bad idea, but I would rather see two HiveFest in different seasons, one in Spring and the other in Autumn... I bet some people would like to attend both live... 😃
Which one would you prefer? I mean, which part of the world?

I myself have a great desire to meet in this way all the people with whom I have been working for a long time. Within some time I must go to such an event and meet all the people.

I am not going to HF but I hope you have fun with that meetup. I think the idea of having different meetups around the world as a good idea.

Hmm I wonder if they will do one nearer to Asia! These locations are pretty far! Haha...

So I was already going to express my sad feeling that you didn't afford the trip and then suddenly all stars moved back in alignment, lol.
I liked the theme of this writing where you express the sad part first and suddenly the good part pops out.
HiveFest in VR gave a lot of peoples to join who actually don't afford to travel to other countries for an arrangement. I'll try to watch the live stream from YouTube. Good luck on your trip.

I agree that HiveFest in VR was an interesting experiment as many people around the globe had a chance to participate, but still, real-life contact is way better... I think that every Hiver who has a chance to go to some HiveFest, or a meetup, should do it! It is always motivating, and inspiring, as those who do that are usually people with whom you would like to hang out...

It is a good thing to follow events online, but the "real thing" is a completely different level of participation...
Cheers!
