Hive Graz meeting, a total success!

Has it been six months since our farewells in Split? Indeed, it seems like yesterday.

1st of May in Graz.

Hive Creators Day began with a lot of social interactions.
We met all the hivians, some new faces but slowly more familiar faces than new ones, plus the ones from the new hivians that came ready to know more.

I must admit that the 1st of May in Graz is less hectic than in Berlin and I enjoyed it a lot. We started it calmly by going to the street beneath our apartment to practice a bit of music with @growandbow until @edje bumped into us.. or almost! Cause he was so focused on finding his café that nearly missed us :)

After that musical beginning of the day, we went to the meeting point. We organized the chairs pretty much 10 times and enrolled in chats really quickly.
We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day and for me was hard to stay inside. I quickly found a mission and went with @honeydue around the center to give some flyers to invite people to join the event.

Everything seemed to happen in the center with demonstrations for the workers' rights as well as basic human rights… it seems that we still fighting for the basics.
Some stalls supported women's rights, others revindicated rights and support for youngsters, and several performances to give visibility to the LGBTQIA+ community. Not to forget live music at every corner.

The 2nd of May we started straight with the intro from @tibfox and @reiseamateur for the talks.

Essency basics were introduced by @seckorama with his laid-back and relaxing tone that makes anybody feel comfortable using the site.

3speak with @minigunner to learn how to use the app, that I have been wanting to use for a long time and I’m very glad to see that is so easy to use :) So, perfect excuse to download it and have it on my device.

But honestly, I was a little bit busy with my new friend @dovycola finding the Light dragon Zelda!!! So I missed a little bit... (Thanks for the photo @gtg you are always on the right moment present!!!)

Then we had the lunch break and @akipponn introduced us to her new community food&culture to share about stories behind one's cultural cuisine.

After lunch

The day continued with the great project #worldmappin this time introduced by @ninaeatshere and @masterswatch (great substitutes of @lizanomadsoul and @detlev who, unfortunately, were not able to come to the event and we missed them so much!!). #worldmappin is a project that I am very proud to follow in the very few posts that I do, nevertheless, I think it got well printed in my mind 'cause I find it really helpful to be able to organize all your posts in a world map always ready to remind you where have you been :D

Then @livinguktaiwan showed us her project Apis Hive to support hivians to grow their accounts and all the work that is behind it, how to be part of the support, and how to get the best out of the initiative.

Then @minigunner talked about Distraitor and its advantages. He showed us how easy it is to manage transactions with a card that was shared with some of us. Honestly, I wanted to catch him after the talk to deepen the talk but he left really early... hopefully we will catch up again soon :)

Last but not least, the introduction about the gorgeous ecological project presented by @tibfox from the community Clean Planet

I love the iniciative and the awarnes that pretends to create in people.
Personally I have been picking trash from forests every time that I go on a walk, sometimes posting it in my stories on Instagram, but never thinking about doing a post about it. Indeed, I think it is a great proposal to create awarness online as well, not to those ones who are seeing you on the spot... if we were all careful our home would be more respected and clean.

I realized I didn't take pictures of our walk 'cause I was too immersed in chatting with @honeydue about life and looking for @growandbow to throw the collected trash 😝

That's all for today! I am SO GRATEFUL to have the oportunity to be part of this community and to share real life moments with all of you. I leave you with a little recap of funny moments of the weekend:

A little insider here for my table friends... the emergency door that we almost blocked at the first restaurant we went.. that endedup being more dangerous than whatever could have happened at the restaurant.
