The true gemm about this place

My first time in Taizé was in 1997.
Almost 30 years later, the physical changes are more then evident. Many things have changed for better.
The commodities are more comfortable, the bathrooms have warm water all 25 hours and even the food that is much in more tasteful and also the quantity.
But the most important things haven't changed a bit. The encounter with the other, the intercultural special connections... the share, the personal experiences. All that that makes this community so special from other vacation destinations.
As I said to Heroldius, here I feel that my soul can quietly find the rest... find the tranquility and even we can find some answers for some more deepfull questions that we have.
Today was the first day of the afternoon small group sharing after the morning bible introduction gave by one of the community brothers.
Many things were shared. Felt like I was a privilege one to be listening those personal thoughts and wounds.
The true meaning is right about that. To have the ability to connect with the other... feel their needs and make the path of being much more connected with what is important.
A new day of the week... oh this corner of true heaven on Earth.
I hope you would like my daily vacations small post.

Wow, Taizé!! When I was in my early twenties, I heard a lot about Taizé, some of my friends went. I didn't expect seeing today this post, thank you for sharing your experience and highlighting the meaning of this place! 😇
P.S. I was not so active around Hive the last few days, just now I see you mentioned already a few days ago that you are heading here, I missed seeing that info. Enjoy the stay and experience! ;)
My very first time in Taizé was back in 1997... but everytime that I revisit Taizé is unique, not only by the persons that I meet, but also for the experiences that I have. Everyday is a blessing. The hard thing that we have to do, it is to identify the great thing around us. No matter what. And sometimes that isn't as simple as we might wish it was...
