Watching The Solar Eclipse 2024 In The Southeastern US
It's been a pretty stellar day, pun completely intended, lol. But really, woke up to Bitcoin being on a run, took some profits, got a bunch of outside work done, wrote some posts, and now getting to watch the last solar eclipse in the US until like 2040ish! So yeah, it's been a good day!
We had some cloud cover for sure because we have a storm system working it's way in, but we had some great breaks in the clouds at just the right time so I had to take advantage and try to get some pictures! Had to play with the exposure a bit, but got some pretty decent shots.

Awesome man. We only got 45% coverage here and there were no clouds, so i wasn't able to get any good shots. Plus it was really cold outside
I am back in the Southeast, so it was a nice little break in the hot part of the day, which it wasn't really hot, but it definitely got cooler.
We went out to look at the sun when it was near totality for us and I think the temperature dropped like 20 degrees and it got super cold.
Dang, wasn't that drastic, but... With the clouds rolling in, so did a storm that made it colder, lol.
Nice, I haven't seen a live eclipse yet but would to do so.
It was pretty cool. My kids got to see the 2017 one in Oregon and I was in FL so I missed that one, glad I was able to catch this one.

So cool. Last one we had here was in 1994. I was six, but kinda remember seeing it through an X-ray film. Next one is in 2045 I guess.

2040 the next eclipse in the united states? I thought I saw 2200 ^^ But I just looked and indeed.
I also came across the French data. According to NASA, in France, it should fall in 2081. I would have... 82 years old. There's a small chance I'll be able to see it.
Otherwise, in Spain, just below France, a total solar eclipse is scheduled for 2026. I'm thinking of going there. It's such a rare phenomenon!
2045 for the US is the next one from what the talking heads on the TV are saying.
That's good you were able to see the solar eclipse. Over here we did not.
