I have a bag of pistachios I was given, and I have never tried them. I decided I was never going to try any, so I resolved to use them to attract some wildlife. I made sure they weren't something unsafe to eat. I put a few out on my concrete pad, and they are still there. I threw one into the grass; this squirrel found it hours later, and it was super intent on eating it. As I slowly opened my patio and screen door, it did not notice me and my long lens. Once the squirrel was finished munching, it went "nuts" trying to dig up the area all around, hoping it would find another, as if it had just stumbled upon gold.

I feel lucky that the squirrel was so focused on eating that it didn't see me.
