Popcorn and Coffee
As a coffee aficionado, I enjoy my coffee with all manner of foods. My nephew thinks I'm a bit on the odd side because I think pizza and coffee are a delcious pairing. He loves pizza and just cannot imagine how a black cup of coffee could remotely begin to be appealing. Yet, I can tell you from years of enjoying the pizza + coffee combo that it is most definitely a wonderful way to enjoy a slice of pizza and a cup of caffeinted brew.
Knowing this factoid I am sure you are not surprised to see a photo of what I have decided is my breakfast. Leftover popcorn from movie night and a black cup of coffee. The candle in the photo has a sage and citrus scent which adds a nice vibe to my morning meal.
So, I'm curious what is a coffee + food/snack pairing that you think is delicious that others think is odd? Share in the comments. I'm open to trying new coffee pairings. Cheers!

You know me, I HATE coffee, so my pairing would be coffee + sink. LOL
I do however, like popcorn with water. Same with pizza. Well, anything with water! That's water without the roasted beans.
We've been getting our drinking water with a slightly higher ph level and I have to say that water tastes so much better.
I'm afraid to drink the water here (I've been told by a lot of people who've lived here for quite some time say that), so we now buy the big 5 gallon jugs and use bottled water. What's good about having big bottles of water all the time is if/when a hurricane hits, and the water isn't drinkable, we'll at least have water!
Savory / peppery foods with coffee work well for me. I drink my coffee black, so the essence and aroma can really work great with sliced cured meats and well-aged cheeses. And OMG ice cream! A double vanilla scoop sitting in rich, chilled espresso, topped with shaved dark chocolate.
And bananas, drizzled with finely chopped roasted walnuts.
Did I forget to mention dark cherries & chocolate?
