Momentos diferentes

Después que cumplí mis 50 años, decreté que haría más cosas diferentes, porque si esperaba tener la oportunidad de cambiar algunas cosas, entonces yo debía empezar a hacer cosas diferentes. Es así como todo comenzó a pasar y fluir, he conocido a muchas personas nuevas fuera de mi área de trabajo, me salí de la zona de confort, me fue de viaje por varios meses a otro país y no se imaginan todo lo que aprendí.

Por toda esta nueva aventura que estoy disfrutando, me dije ahora este año vamos a aceptar invitaciones de amigos, para conocer otros círculos, es así como acepté esta invitación que en otro momento quizás años atrás no se hubiese dado, pero ahora que esta gente hermosa que ven en las fotos ya son adultas con hijos y familia, debo decir que es un gran honor que aún me digan “mi profe” este lindo grupo fueron mis primeros estudiantes de la universidad hace 23 años casi 24, pueden imaginarse ustedes a cuantas almas he podido conocer en 25 años de vida en la universidad.

Este grupo de exalumnos, ya profesionales ingenieros en informática, nos invitaron a una noche especial de reencuentro en profesores y alumnos, había más colegas invitados, pero no pudieron estar; sin embargo, no será el único reencuentro que realicemos, porque ya quedamos comprometidos con organizar otros.

Esta noche, yo estaba muy emocionada de porque les compartí a mis muchachos, que era la primera vez que yo aceptaba reunirme con egresados y alumnos de la universidad, claro ya no son mis alumnos, no hay compromisos, ahora son amigos y les agradezco el cariño y el respeto.

Fue una noche encantadora, colmada de recuerdos, y risas, porque en esa terraza se presentaba un show, el cual disfrutamos mucho hasta cerca de la media noche.

Espero pronto continuar compartiendo con más egresados y construyendo nuevas amistades, ya mis niños son hombre y mujeres de los cuales me siento muy orgullosa de haber podido formar parte de su educación.

Different moments

After I turned 50, I decreed that I would do more different things, because if I hoped to have the opportunity to change some things, then I should start doing different things. This is how everything began to happen and flow, I have met many new people outside of my work area, I left my comfort zone, I went on a trip for several months to another country and you cannot imagine everything I learned.

Because of all this new adventure that I am enjoying, I told myself now this year we are going to accept invitations from friends, to get to know other circles, this is how I accepted this invitation that at another time perhaps years ago would not have been given, but now that these beautiful people who you see in the photos are already adults with children and family, I must say that it is a great honor that they still call me “my teacher” this beautiful group were my first university students 23 years ago almost 24, you can imagine how many souls I have been able to know in 25 years of life at the university.

This group of alumni, now professional computer engineers, invited us to a special night of reunion for teachers and students. There were more colleagues invited, but they couldn't be there; However, it will not be the only reunion we hold, because we are already committed to organizing others.

Tonight, I was very excited because I shared with my boys, that it was the first time that I agreed to meet with graduates and students of the university, of course they are no longer my students, there are no commitments, now they are friends and I thank them for the affection and respect.

It was a charming night, full of memories and laughter, because a show was being presented on that terrace, which we enjoyed a lot until around midnight.

I hope to soon continue sharing with more graduates and building new friendships, and my children are men and women of whom I feel very proud to have been part of their education.
