My Week in Review for April 19, 2025, More Smooth Sailing!

Hive has continued to impress me in the past week. Although we have seen some Bitcoin ups and downs, Hive has been showing signs of strength despite the overall market fluctuations. The graph below is from coingecko.com and show Hive over the past seven days, smooth sailing just like I mentioned in the title!

I'm hoping we can continue to see Hive continue to hold in the twenty plus cent range. For awhile last week I though we might be revisiting the teens once again! So far so good and I hope to see further continued support.

Today I will be sharing another Saturday Savers post updating my weekly progress here on Hive. I have been changing some of the goals lower on my list around weekly, some I remove completely if I'm no longer all that bullish. But I've not removed any recently.

Saturday Savers is a group that shares their goals weekly and shows your progress towards those goals. I've found that revisiting them on a regular basis has helped me achieve them more quickly. I'm really happy with my progress on my primary and secondary goals for the year. So let's start with those two:

Hive Power

The primary goal I have set for this year was to reach 10,000 staked HP. I have increased my HP by 94 this week and currently have 7,735 staked Hive. Not a bad week and I can almost taste 8K, and 10K isn't far behind. I'll likely be buying up some more Hive at good prices to reach the finish line a little bit faster!

Currently I am 77.4% of the way to 10,000 HP!

PIMP

My secondary goal of the year is to reach 50,000 staked PIMP. I had this goal last year as well but just couldn't pull it off, but this year I will do it. I did buy some more PIMP this week and will be looking for more good buys this week as well to finish this goal. That puts me at 45,252 staked PIMP at the moment. I'm 90.4% of the way to the final goal, and I plan to reach this it in the next couple of weeks!

PIMP is a great project that is backed by physical silver and Bitcoin, so I have a lot of faith in this one!

CCD

The CryptoCompany ( @cryptocompany ) is a project started and run by @powerpaul that is coming up on it's third anniversary. He is a game builder and has one play to earn game already up and running called Bro Bang where you can earn Hive, LGN, and CCD. Two seasons have been completed and the third season will be announced when ready in the near future.

CCD is the in game currency he created and those who stake certain levels can claim a free HSBI units depending on the amount staked. At 100K you can claim one a month, 500K two a week, and at one million one a day. I have 500K so I get the twice a week option. Additionally those who stake can potentially earn curations on quality posts depending on the amount you invest. Plus there are some nicely paying LP pools to check out.

He recently lost a large delegation which has set him back in his efforts significantly. He is builder looking to improve Hive and is here for the long run. If you have any free HP for delegation he would sure appreciate your support! When you delegate to @cryptocompany you earn CCD tokens which can be staked or sold. DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day as well. For those who stake 500 you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. Not a bad deal! I currently am buying these tokens regularly and have around 1,450.

The @duo-curator account already has more that 41,600 HP and is growing daily. The current tranche of tokens is running low and are priced at one Hive each. Once sold out the next batch will cost 1.5 Hive each. So buy in while they are still inexpensive!

90% of all earnings from curations, posts, and tips are paid out in the form of dividends, the remaining 10% is permanently powered up. All revenue from token sales is permanently powered up and will never be powered down. That way our curations will only get better and we can also help new onboards here on Hive.

DBOND, DAB, and RUG

I continue to hold my 303 DOND and 60 DAB staked. Every week they slowly increase in number. Staked DBOND pays in in the form of DAB. DAB in turn can be staked to generate more DBOND or left unstaked and instead pays out in liquid Hive. This comes from the same team that brought us EDS, so we know they are reliable. About the time we created the DUO token they created the RUG token. Yes, it sounds fishy, but it produces payments in the form of DBOND from profits made outside the Hive chain. I am slowly buying up more RUG tokens to produce more DBOND. It's a nice project that slowly builds wealth, better to get rich slowly than not at all!

EDSI

I'm still working towards a goal of 200 of these tokens by year's end. I'm at 123 right now and only picked up one this week. I'll need to pick up the pace to make it to 200. At the moment some other projects have my attention so although I still want to achieve it, it's a little lower on the priority scale right now. That may well change in the near future!

Silver and Gold

If you have watched any information on precious metal this year I'm sure aware they are going up quickly. Silver and gold are safe places for investment as they will always have value, and with the current problems in the world more and more people are buying them. Even copper is selling quickly! This area of my investments will be getting more attention in the coming weeks for sure.

I wouldn't be shocked if gold hit $4,000 this year and silver $50 per Troy ounce. I personally have always been a "stacker" of silver and gold since I was young, and am a firm believer in it's value. Have a look at the charts over the last five days. Up and up is the general trajectory.

Every week I like to share a good way you can invest in precious metals. This week is another fractional gold item at one gram. Have a look, it's pretty!

Right now this is on special at APMEX.com for $132.49 at the time I started to write this morning. Really not a bad price for fractional gold that comes in an assay casing that is numbered. The only real practical way to buy gold right now is in smaller amounts. Unless you have $3,000+ available to pick up an full Troy ounce. I don't, so fractional gold is what I will be buying!

Both silver and gold will be great bets down the road, and historically they are a great way to build wealth.
