My Hive Goals for 2025, The Week in Review for Sept. 13, 2025

This week I can honestly say that I'm glad it's Saturday. There's been too much to get done in the real world but it's finally over for the most part. I even ended up missing posting a couple of days this week, but it was necessary. I hope you all have had a good week and are enjoying your weekend!

Over the last few weeks I have made some adjustments to my investments here on Hive. I do have some medical tests coming up that are not inexpensive even with insurance helping out. LEO was the first victim of raising some quick funds to help cover some costs. I may have to adjust some others down the road, but hopefully not!

As this is a Saturday post I tend to focus more on financial issues as it is a Hive Goals and #saturdaysavers post. I joined the community a year ago to help me focus on achieving my goals on Hive more expeditiously and it has helped quite a bit. I've achieved almost all of my goals this year so far! We'll get into Hive in a second, but first let's look at Bitcoin.

Bitcoin

This week has been good for the granddaddy of crypto seeing a push back to $115,000. There seems to be momentum and even more volume the last couple of days so maybe we will see $120K again soon! Crossing my fingers...

Interestingly the Hive chart looks fairly similar over the last week. Hopefully it's the start of a nice pump, it would be nice to see those Hive prices hitting $0.60 again wouldn't it? Time will tell...

Now onto my Hive Power and Hive Engine tokens, starting with the completed goals of 2025:

Hive Power

My primary goal of the year was to reach 10,000 HP which I already surpassed some time back. I haven't been tracking my week to week gains as well as I should have lately, so getting back into my weekly Saturday post will surely help me get back into the habit.

As you can see I'm closing in on 11K rather quickly, maybe I can make 13K by year end still? It's not a solid goal at this point, but an interesting benchmark to pursue!

I still have my Power Guardian badge having never powered down, I think it's pretty cool!

PIMP

This was my secondary goal of the year and felt great to achieve it. It's a token backed by physical silver and BTC, and has an awesome community as well!

PIMP: 60,235 (120% complete)
Goal: 50,000

I'm staking some of my earning now as well as putting some in liquidity pools to earn more tokens.

LEO

I have made some large changes to my LEO strategy. I'm continuing my delegation to earn more tokens, but I did unstake and sell 5K LEO to take profits. Not so much because I wanted to, but I have a couple heart related tests coming up and I needed to extra cash to cover my out of pocket expenses. One does come with a 5% mortality risk, so if I vanish suddenly you know why! lol

Real life has to come first!

So I'm back to square one here. I'll have to ponder over what my next moves will be.

PIZZA

This was nice to finish up. I get 15 tips a day to use as a bonus and occasionally a curation as well! I am considering increasing my stake here significantly as the APR seems to be worth it. I'll keep you updated when I make my final call on this one!

DUO

DUO: 2,705 (135% complete)

I bought up a fair amount of DUO as a long term investment. I expect to rack up at least 3k or more this year. It's a great project, although I may be a bit biased as I helped create it!

DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. The more DUO you stake, the higher your daily dividends.

We have opened up another day to offer guest posting on our @duo-curator . We need more guest authors, so please ask me about it! Just check the last update post for details on how to participate. It benefits newer authors as they can earn more and get more exposure. We are also about to start our first campaign to recruit new members. I'll share more once the plan is finalized.

PAKX

This is one of my favorite projects on Hive. Each PAKX is backed by at least two Hive and that number will being going up shortly. It does provide daily liquid Hive dividends when you hold more than 10 units and offers curations on quality content as well. A nice, solid project overall!

It directly helps support the Hive Pakistan community to recruit and retain new talented authors here on Hive which is a very positive goal in my mind!

EDSI

I'm continuing to delegate to the program to earn free EDSI tokens weekly. You also get a curation on quality content you produce. As a bonus once a week you do get a liquid Hive dividend which is always good!

EDSI: 174.148 (87.1% complete)
Goal: 200

I'll likely need to supplement my tokens earned with some purchases to reach 200, but I'll decide that later in the year.

Precious Metals

I've been a collector of coins and precious metals since my youth and it's an important part of my life. Today I'll review some of the best metals in which to invest (in my opinion anyway!)

Silver

Silver is now over $42 per Troy ounce and looking to be gaining stream. I expect by the end of the year $50 would not be out of the question. Not only is it used in coins, jewelry, and heavily in industrial products, governments use it as a store of wealth. This is a great place to invest money especially when the world looks as unstable as it does.

Gold

Gold has historically been the place to store wealth for as long as written history has existed and probably longer. It will always be a safe place to have your fortunes stored, and is currently above $3,600 per Troy ounce. All time highs and is primed to hit $4,000 shortly or even higher. If you haven't invested in gold, you should start!
