ENGLISH July 14, 2025 - Mistan's newspaper [EN]-[IT] With this column, I'd like to share some world news and then discuss it with you. Below are the stories that have struck me the most, looking at the events of the last few days. Let's start with the news that Mistan identified as the most interesting of the last few days.
Politics 01 - US Tariffs: US tariffs on Europe are coming. From what I understand, the tariffs towards the European Union have been confirmed at 30% and should start on August 1st. The official statement imposes the tariffs on all goods imported from the EU. As for the end of the tariffs, it seems there is no expiration date. In this regard, Antonio Costa (former Prime Minister of Portugal and current President of the European Council) considered the US move unjustified and will propose balanced countermeasures. According to some websites reporting the news, Trump also appears to have stated that if a countermove is implemented, the 30% percentage will increase accordingly, depending on the impact of the European Union's countermove. Politics 02 - Rutte-Trump Meeting: Mark Rutte (NATO Secretary General) and Donald Trump (47th President of the United States) will meet in Washington. This meeting comes after Trump announced the US intention to send new air defense systems to Kiev, but Trump has clarified that the costs will be borne by NATO or the European Union. NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO is an intergovernmental military alliance founded in 1949 with the aim of ensuring the collective security of its members. The organization currently has 32 members, including 12 founding countries.
Technology: Musk and AI Elon Musk is investing more money in AI. His goal is to challenge OpenAI. OpenAI is the organization that created and developed ChatGPT. The investment is said to be around $2 billion, raised from SpaceX and invested in its xAI project. NOTE: Open AI was founded in 2015 by Elon Musk and Sam Altman, but Musk resigned from OpenAI's board of directors in 2018. ITALIAN 14-07-2025 - Mistan's newspaper [EN]-[IT] Con questa rubrica vorrei proporre alcune notizie che riguardano il mondo e poterne poi discutere con voi. Qui di seguito le notizie che mi hanno colpito di più dando un’occhiata agli eventi degli ultimi giorni. Partiamo con le news che Mistan ha identificato come le più interessanti degli ultimi giorni
Politica 01- Dazi Usa: Arrivano i dazi degli USA per l’Europa. Da quel che ho capito io i dazi verso l’Unione Europea sono stati confermati al 30% e dovrebbero partire dal primo Agosto. Il comunicato ufficiale impone i dazi su tutti i beni importati dall’UE. Per quanto riguarda il termine della durata sembra che non sia prevista una data di scadenza. A tal proposito Antonio Costa (ex primo ministro del Portogallo e attuale Presidente del Consiglio europeo) ha considerato la mossa USA come ingiustificata e proporrà di impostare delle contromosse equilibrate. Da alcuni siti che riportano la notizia sembrerebbe che TRUMP abbia anche affermato che se verrà costruita una contro mossa, la percentuale del 30% si alzerà di conseguenza a seconda dell’impatto della contromossa che farà l’Unione Europea. Arrivano critiche anche dagli USA, la senatrice Klobuchar sembra aver dichiarato che questa mossa potrebbe aumentare i costi annui per le famiglie americane. Politica 02- Incontro Rutte - Trump: Mark Rutte (Segretario generale della NATO) e Donald Trump (47º Presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America) si incontreranno a Washington. Questo incontro avviene dopo che Trump ha annunciato la volontà da parte degli USA di inviare dei nuovi sistemi di difesa antiaerea a Kiev, ma Trump ha puntualizzato che i costi dovranno essere sostenuti dalla NATO o dall'Unione Europea. La sigla NATO sta per Organizzazione del Trattato dell'Atlantico del Nord. La NATO è un'alleanza militare intergovernativa fondata nel 1949 con lo scopo di garantire la sicurezza collettiva dei suoi membri. Conclusioni: Arrivano i dazi USA anche per l’Europa, saranno attivi dal 1 Agosto 2025 e saranno del 30%. Il Segretario generale della NATO incontrerà il presidente degli Stati Uniti, sarà interessante cosa accadrà dopo questo incontro. Musk non molla con i suoi investimenti sull’Intelligenza Artificiale e aumenta gli investimenti per xAI, la startup di intelligenza artificiale fondata proprio da Musk nel 2023. La medicina fa un passo in avanti nella battaglia contro la sordità.

I dazi danneggiano tutti, speriamo trovino una soluzione...
Trump è un furbo, continua a foraggiare l'Ucraina ma con i soldi nostri e non del suo paese costringendo a compare i patriot agli altri stati per poi darli a Kiev... Miliardi buttati, poi se voglio fare una visita devo aspettare 9 mesi e abbiamo gli ospedali che chiudono
I dati che ho raccolto io mi dicono che negli Stati Uniti a giugno 2025 sono stati creati 147.000 nuovi posti di lavoro non agricoli, superando le attese degli analisti che erano state fissate a 110.000. Inoltre sembra che anche il salario medio orario si stia leggermente alzando, parlo sempre degli Stati Uniti. Quindi per ora i dazi di TRUMP non sembra che danneggino tutti. I dati che ti ho fornito però necessitano di una controverifica.. comunque a ottobre si capirà il vero effetto dei dazi sul suolo americano. Quello che mi spaventa invece sono le mosse dell'Europa, sempre meno intelligenti economicamente parlando e sempre più prese di pancia che di testa. Intanto mangiamoci una !PIZZA

Thanks for leaving a comment. From what I've read, he founded xAI (an artificial intelligence project) in March 2023 with the goal of understanding the nature of the universe. Personally, I think he is one of the most brilliant minds that exists today among the living. !STRIDE
Thanks for stopping by. Musk is a co-founder of OpenAI, which has nothing to do with it now, but let's not forget this. Musk has always believed in AI from the very beginning.
