Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Oshannus Unmade (Eng/Ita)

Among the new reward cards of the Conclave Arcana edition, which are already shaking up game strategies and the internal market, and the Conflicts, which are enjoying growing success among competitive players, the platform shows no signs of slowing down in terms of activity. However, the general crypto market tells a different story: today Bitcoin (BTC) recorded a drop of more than 4%, and Hive, the blockchain on which Splinterlands is built, suffered a real slide with -7%.

This scenario raises an important question: what impact could this bearish period have on Splinterlands and its internal economy? So far, the game's main tokens, SPS and DEC, seem to be holding up under pressure, maintaining relative stability despite the general atmosphere of uncertainty. But if the downward trend continues in the coming days, it is not unlikely that these assets could also be affected.

A declining market often leads investors and players to behave more cautiously, reducing expenses and shifting their attention to more stable assets, perhaps converting many holdings into stable coins, such as Tether or HBD here on Hive.

On the other hand, those who know Splinterlands are aware that the project's strength is not measured only by the value of its tokens, but above all by the solidity of the community and the consistency of development. If the team continues to deliver quality updates and content, as it is doing with Conclave Arcana and the ongoing competitive events, Splinterlands could once again prove to be one of the most resilient platforms in the GameFi ecosystem.

Meanwhile, today, we are going to analyze one of the new Reward cards: for today's post I chose Oshannus Unmade, a neutral, common card from the Djinn bloodline, which, for a cost of 6 mana, starts at level one with no abilities, and with 2 Ranged, 3 Speed, and 4 Health.

At level two it gains Dispel, at level five it gains Snare, and finally, at the last upgrade level, it adds Lookout to the collection.

Today's market price is very, very low, at only $0.026 per BCX, making it an easy card to buy and upgrade, and in fact, it is often found in the Glint Store Chests.

In this battle, with a mana cap of 44, and the Deflection Shield ruleset, I chose the Dragon archon from the previous edition, Rebellion, named Akane, placing Night Reaper in the Tank position, followed by Zyrx the Emberglace, Gramel the Hunger, Oshannus Unmade, Frigid Wolf, and finally, Elanor Bravefoot.

My opponent, on the other hand, opted for the dual-element Life-Water archon, named Prunda Undervesch, placing Commander Slade in the first position, followed by Olivia of the Brook, Surgeblade, Janni Rebel, Meriput Magician, and finally, Sergeant Grauzral.

My strategy was simple: to exploit the Ambush ability granted by Akane, to land a total of 5 hits before the start of the battle, with the two strongest monsters in the team, namely Zyrx the Emberglace and Gramel the Hunger.

Oshannus Unmade performed incredibly well, well protected from enemy hits in the fourth position, its 4 Health points, though few, lasted until the final round, and its 2 Ranged damage dealt significant blows to the opposing team.

In the end, Oshannus is a card without glory or shame, very solid, even though it does not have exceptional stats or abilities, what makes it a Common card is undoubtedly the cost-benefit ratio: if it cost 4 mana, it would be an outstanding card, usable even in Little League battles or very low mana cap matches, but since it costs 6, it often remains out of the starting lineup, though it can be very useful in battles with the Shades of Grey ruleset, where only neutral cards can be used.

Tra le nuove carte ricompensa dell’edizione Conclave Arcana, che stanno già animando le strategie di gioco e il mercato interno, e le Conflicts, che stanno riscuotendo un successo crescente tra i giocatori competitivi, la piattaforma non mostra segni di rallentamento sul fronte dell’attività. Tuttavia, il contesto generale dei mercati crypto racconta un’altra storia: nella giornata odierna Bitcoin (BTC) ha registrato un calo superiore al 4%, e Hive, la blockchain su cui Splinterlands è costruito, ha subito un vero e proprio scivolone con un -7%.

Questo scenario solleva una domanda importante: che impatto potrebbe avere questo periodo di ribasso su Splinterlands e sulla sua economia interna? Finora i token principali del gioco, SPS e DEC , sembrano reggere la pressione, mantenendo una relativa stabilità nonostante il clima di incertezza generale. Ma se la spinta ribassista dovesse continuare nei prossimi giorni, non è da escludere che anche questi asset possano subire delle ripercussioni.

Un mercato in discesa spesso porta gli investitori e i giocatori a comportarsi in modo più prudente, riducendo le spese e spostando l’attenzione su asset più stabili, magari convertendo molti asset in stable coins, come Tether o HBD quì su Hive.

D’altra parte, chi conosce Splinterlands sa che la forza del progetto non si misura solo nel valore dei token, ma soprattutto nella solidità della community e nella costanza dello sviluppo. Se il team continuerà a proporre aggiornamenti e contenuti di qualità, come sta facendo con Conclave Arcana e gli eventi competitivi in corso, Splinterlands potrebbe ancora una volta dimostrare di essere una delle piattaforme più resilienti dell’ecosistema GameFi.

Intanto, oggi, andiamo ad analizzare una delle nuove carte Rewards: per il post di oggi ho scelto Oshannus Unmade, carta neutrale, common, della bloodline Djinn, che, per il costo di 6 mana, parte dal primo livello senza abilità, e con 2 di Ranged, 3 di Speed, e 4 di Health.

Al secondo livello ottiene Dispel, al livello 5 si prende Snare, e , infine, all'ultimo livello di potenziamento aggiunge Lookout alla collezione.

La quotazione di oggi è molto, molto bassa, con un prezzo di soli 0,026$ per BCX, risulta una carta facile da comprare e potenziare, ed infatti si trova molto spesso nei Chests del Glint Store.

La mia strategia era semplice: sfruttare l'abilità Ambush, donata da Akane, per fare sferrare un totale di ben 5 colpi , prima dell'inizio della battaglia, a i 2 mostri più pesanti in squadra, ovvero Zyrx the Emberglace e Gramel the Hunger.

Oshannus Unmade si è comportato incredibilmente bene , ben protetto dai colpi avversari nella quarta posizione, i suoi 4 punti Health, pur pochi, hanno resistito fino all'ultimo round, e i suoi 2 di Ranged hanno creato molto danno alla squadra opposta.

Alla fine, Oshannus, è una carta senza infamia e senza lode, è molto solida , pur non avendo stats o abilità eccezionali, quello che lo rende una carta Common è senza dubbio il rapporto costo/benefici: se avesse un costo di 4 mana, sarebbe una carta eccezionale, da usare anche nelle sfide con Little League o a bassissimo mana cap, ma costando 6, rimane spesso fuori dalla squadra titolare, pur potendo essere molto importante in sfide con il ruleset Shades of Grey, dove si possono usare solo carte neutrali.
