The gym person
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine at the gym today and what led to the discussion was that he has been absent for a while in the gym and I was forced to ask him why he has not been coming to the gym. He said he wanted to change his routine and that he couldn’t come to the gym every day because he realized that he’s becoming a gym person and he did not like it. That sounded somehow to me and I asked what he meant by gym person he said the Gym is already taking so much time away from him.
My friend said that the gym is already taking a lot of money away from him and ever since he has been coming to the gym, he has been losing a lot of money and he said he doesn’t want to become a gym person. We argued and I told him that the gym was never your problem, It was because you did not have a good working plan for yourself that was why the gym was taking so much time away from you.
We see things differently
One of the things that helped me was going to the gym because not only that it help my focus It’s also helped me to build a working system. One thing that people don’t understand is when you join the gym or you start doing something new, there will be a time when you lose the momentum but if you build a working system around the things that you are doing, it is most likely that you are going to continue doing it because you have a system already. This is one of the things that the gym helps me achieve.
Most people just join the trend and do things not because they like it or because they understand what they are doing, they are just doing it because they see something online or one of their friends forces them to do it. It is the same story with people who are coming to the gym, they are just following the trend or doing things one of their friends is doing. They do not truly love what they are doing and the easiest to be consistent in Life is to build the system around your life. When you lose motivation or you lose momentum, you can keep going because there is a system that is working already.
The system
I am now the kind of person that I can’t do without going to the gym even on the days I don’t feel like going to the gym you will still see me at the gym. This is not because I have one special power it is because when I was starting, I built a system around the gym. I made up my mind that I would always be at the gym no matter what. No matter what I am doing, you will see me at the gym and The system has served me well.
Many people asked me several times how I had been able to do it and how I had been able to keep going for over three years without losing my focus, my response was I built a system around the gym unlike l my friend who doesn’t understand what he’s doing. You will give yourself excuses to stop things that might change your life, when you build the system around things even when you’re not feeling motivated or you don’t want to do anything you will still keep going.
