Splinterlands battle with olivia of the brook

I hope you are doing fine as we enter into a weekend. It's been long time i last posted and i hope you got a chance to read about the new edition of splinterlands as it seems to be a more exciting one with different types packs are announced for the latest edition of splinter with conclave arcana set to be released soon and dec seems to be the only option to purchase the packs with different types of packs costing different amount with starter packs costing 1000 dec, standard packs with 4000 dec, alchemy packs with 12000 dec and legendary packs 24000 dec!!!
Oh, i think i can't afford alchemy and legendary and i might plan to combine with other people and try to bring some packs and try to get any bonus cards shared, in that way, it will be a win win situation to all who are buying many packs in a combined manner and share the bonus cards.
I mean, i hope it won't be much difficult to find partners who are willing to collaborate and purchase the packs to get extra incentives in the form of airdropped cards as well.
For this week's social media challenge, i am planning to share a battle which involves the new darling of splinterlands i.e. olivia of the brook as one of the cards used and enjoy the perks of it as it keeps getting additional abilities with each round completed.
Olivia of the brook i think is one of the best cards from the new set of rewards cards as it is i think the only card to have mimic ability which can copy most of the abilities from the monsters used by opponents.
In this battle i am sharing, it got to mimic so many abilities which not only saved olivia from getting removed but also saved the battle for me.
Here i share the details of this battle.

This battle is one of those low mana battles as it just had 15 mana cost cap and my opponent used death splinter with cursed windeku, ever hungry skull and corpse fiend as his monsters as the battle had rulesets of equal opportunity, up close & personal and armored up.
This means, all monsters will start with equal health, only melee attack monsters to be used and all monsters start with 2 armors.
Looking at these rulesets and 15 mana cost cap, i used some of those monsters which cost less but more effective in the form of olivia of the brook, halfling refuge and others as shared below.
Lineup:
Halfling refugee:
I now have this monster at level 3 and that means, it is with healing ability and for a mana cost of just 1, it will render 3 melee attack in each round and with equal opportunity ruleset for this battle, it started with 11 health as i think cursed windeku is the monster used in this battle with max health of 11 and all the monsters will have this maximum health because of the equal opportunity ruleset.
So, 3 melee attack for just 1 cost and also healing ability makes this monster so special!!!
Vulguine:
This is one of the forgotten monsters i would say as i don't see many using this monster, but this was an opportunity for me to make use of this as it is with scavenger ability to gain a health when a monster dies and with equal opportunity, it is always going to get more health and it's 2 melee attack will be lethal against opponent's monsters.
Olivia of the brook:
And this is the highlight of this battle with that mimic ability and it's 2 types of attack in melee and magic.
As the battle went round after round, it gained, healing, slow, return fire, thorns and flying abilities from other monsters and the healing ability saved it from getting removed and win the battle.
Celestial harpy:
Celestial harpy is another silent killer monster with 2 cost and 2 melee attack which is an opportunity attack and it keeps doing it's duty round after round and was helpful in helping olivia and vulguine in winning the battle.
Soul fiend:
Last on my lineup is the zero cost monster of soul fiend which i had used for any sneak attack monster, but there wasn't one in this battle.
So, that lineup i used was formidable enough to take down opponent's cursed windeku which was threatening with it's healing and thorns throwing ability, but olivia and other monsters were able to get rid of it and the ever hungry skull to win the battle in the end.
So, this monster olivia of the brook is a must have and my efforts will be to max it out and have those extra health which will help it survive 1 or 2 rounds more and get some additional abilities from opponent's monsters.
