Alll Things Golden!

Pleasant greetings to you my amazing friends here.

It's another time for me to paint your life with a classic, timeless and vintage color - Gold. Therefore, welcome to another Colors of Life Contest themed Gold.

When it comes to colors, Gold is in a class of its own. A color often associated with royalty - worn by kings and queens. A color that depicts luxury, wealth, prestige, age and achievement.

As a vibrant, shiny and warm color, gold is often associated with the sun. Golden sunshine or golden hour, as it's called appears either early in the morning or late afternoon /early evening when the sun is low on the horizon. I guess some of you might have seen it before.

As mentioned earlier, Gold color is associated with age, value and achievements.

The number 50 is a golden number, that's why Golden Jubilee marks a 50th anniversary - whether it's a wedding anniversary, an institution's 50 years of service, a monarch's 50-year reign, significant events, etc.

This is my mom, looking dainty and golden. 🥰

Mom and Dad - Golden P.

These pictures were of 5 years ago, during their 50th year wedding anniversary celebration. It was a memorable day for everyone.

This image reveals 50 years of togetherness, companionship, commitment, sacrifices, good times and bad times, joys and sorrows, wins and losses, and all that comes with marital union.

Still on age, when one turns 50 years, the person is said to have attained the "golden years" - the later stages of life, often implying a period of retirement, relaxation, and enjoyment.

This is my elder sister on a photoshoot for her 50th birthday. Elegantly dressed in golden outfit, depicting the occasion.

I recall the day we went shopping for her birthday outfit. Her heart was set on something golden, so we scoured the market, facing some disappointment because we couldn't find the type of outfit we were looking. We were about giving up but still decided to check more shops. And that was when we stumbled upon a shop that changed everything. As we walked in, I spotted this stunning golden gown on a mannequin, and I just about lost it - like I felt in love with it instantly that I couldn't help but exclaim, 'This is it!'. My sister asked, "Are you sure?" I nodded in the affirmative and told her to try it on. She did and it fitted perfectly, and that was when her eyes lit up, joy etched on her face, like a child who had just received a pack of her favorite chocolate. Hehehe.
Despite the price tag, we just couldn't miss it because it was exactly what we were looking for.

Furthermore, precious metals, like gold jewelry or coins, often appreciate in value over time. Those who own any of the aforementioned can attest to this.

I won't end this post without showing you my cute furry friend, Timmy. Isn't she golden?

Respect to Gold. Being Gold ain't easy. 😅

Thank you for reading.

Living past 50 alone is an accomplishment, not to talk of spending 50 years together. Congratulations and happy anniversary to them.
