A foggy morning walk

avatar
(Edited)

These photos were taken during an early morning walk in search of some bird photos.

As springtime rapidly advances and summer nears, the foliage on the trees grows more dense and opportunities to take a nice bird photos become less. They have so many more places to hide behind all of the leaves! Plus this time of year many are sitting on nests incubating eggs.

Early morning is the best time to bird watch. I will save the photos of birds for another post for the #FeatheredFriends Community,

I wanted to share some of my favorite photos of the day here in the #Photo-essay community. The community rules are simple. 5 photos and 150 words. If you add captions on your photos it is helpful.

path into the bird sanctuary

dense early morning fog

wildlife cover

bird habitat

wild plum

chokecherry

sumac

I used Google for identifying the plants, so I assume my captions are correct!

Hope you enjoy the photos!

I love the new editor and the only way to perfect it is to test it while it is still in alpha.

I must have messed something up in the new Ecency editor.... My photo captions are not appearing in the post!

updated and fixed!

I thought this was happening to me, and that it was a mistake on my part. I still need to review and use the new editor to improve.

I was glad to see that the editor has already adopted two ideas I mentioned in previous comments: including an indication of where the post title should be placed, and allowing the option to use the old editor.

The editor is still in development and your suggestions are needed and appreciated! Thanks! Captions will be working as expected soon.

a pleasant morning walk, the misty forest brings a magical atmosphere, as if nature is inviting us into a fairy tale world.

thank you for sharing these photos with us. I think fog has a certain charm, fog hides part of the horizon and thus creates a sense of mystery. if I have to drive in the car I don't like fog, but if I don't have to drive in the car I like foggy days. !HUG

Beautiful as usual. The forest canopy is ethereal something out of a fairy tale. Perhaps we could get more of these delectable photos...

Awesome natural place. It should be a bath of nature what you got. Are there any bears in that area? That I would be really scared of. Good pics like all you show.

No bears where I live, they are a couple hundred miles north of me.

The changing seasons really do make bird photography more challenging, but it’s always worth the effort.
Beautiful pics.
Excited to see the bird photos in your next post for the #FeatheredFriends Community.

Thanks! This is the time of year when I overload my posts with bird photos. I'm glad you haven't grown tired of them.

I think the plant IDs are correct. At least the chokecherry is blooming around here now. I like the path leading into the sanctuary shot best 👍

Thanks! That's the only one I was uncertain of. I used to be much better with plant id, but many of the names have gotten lost in my head over the years!

This is all a system of nature. The temperature in our city is currently 45 and it is very hot. People are fainting. On the other hand, we are seeing that it is cold in your city. So this is a system of nature.

Oh, that is too hot. I hope you get some relief from those cruel temperatures soon. Daytime temps here this week are expected to be 18, light jacket weather.
