Working With Negative Spaces?
This set of photos was an experiment I attempted on one of my morning walks. It was a return trip to the local quarry, and for whatever reason, when I get to the end of the trail that leads up hill, I get to this spot:
I don't know why this position appeals to me so much. It doesn't matter what season it might be or time of day, but it resonates strongly with me. So with my simple Pixel 7 Pro camera in hand, I thought I'd experiment with this area.
It's a really nice spot to photograph at 6 AM my time; the sun is up by light is to a minimum in the background...the light seems to work ok with the camera.
It feels like each one has so much personality despite being within 50 feet of each other...or at the very least, maybe provide some cover art for a vinyl record. I'd be curious to here what others think, or some settings I might try next time to capture the personality of this area.
Thanks for checking out my photos; and I always appreciate any feedback!
The photos with the road ending up the hill, speak to me too. They have a promise. I'd even say, they seduce the eye and mind of the observer. "Come... walk on me... I will lead you to a place that's beyond your imagination." :)

I love negative space. I do it on the beach, especially when I find one with a sand dune. Brown and blue or green and blue like this one always looks so nice
I wish I had more beaches over here to experiment with, lol...just cornfields, wildlflower fields, and green fields this time over here to have fun with.
