In any context - Monomad Challenge
In any context, for this occasion, I focused on capturing some or all of the silhouettes of people, trying to find that contrast between the subject and a well-lit background. This is usually very useful when the light is against it, depending on the camera position. However, at that moment, the natural lighting, due to the position of the sun, wasn't against it, but rather slightly perpendicular to it due to the time of day. Therefore, sometimes I take advantage of bright backgrounds that reflect light and create that effect against the subject. This way, I find certain silhouettes, taking advantage of the necessary bounce of light toward the lens.
It's a way I like to compose, especially if it's in black and white because it recreates that perfect contrast for these images. Although now, it's possible to compose with perfectly positioned backlighting, you can get better results, with better-defined silhouettes, as if highlighting a drawing of those silhouettes. This can usually be achieved during both dawn and dusk with the lens positioned against the light. So, these are my images for this day, set in a street setting with people going about their daily routine, or whatever it may be.
All photographs are my own.
