Part 02 of Amersfoort citywalk : Muurhuizen
Good day to you all .
We continue with my new toy doing Amersfoort citywalk #monomad style .
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge today .
All images are created by me with my Sony A7II + LAOWA FF 15mm F4.5 1:2 Macro lens.
The weather condition was cloudy , but still decent light for photography , but no sunshine to show the sunstars , but you can see them in color on one of the other posts .
On some photos i used lens correction on other photos i didn't simply because the streets are to narrow to get a decent photo and still have room for lens correction .
1 ) The street we are in now is called Muurhuizen , and i actually the location of the first citywall you can read more about it in the https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muurhuizen with a little help of google translate .
2 ) The oldest buildings in this street date back to the 16th century and cars are no longer allowed in this area without a permit.
3 ) A big bennefit of the old buildings often is the high ceiling and the thick stone walls that keep the heat out.
4 ) You can really see the old masonry in this building Google street view link to show you how small this street is : https://maps.app.goo.gl/JigVTEJWBnZegrzs8
5 ) I even manged to find some report on restoration they have done in the past on this building : https://www.huysch.nl/projecten/muurhuizen-amersfoort/
6 ) Old seminary der oude Clerezy Roman Catholicism dates back to 1725.
7 ) For those that do not know this , the handle on the right side of the door is connected to a bell and works as a door bell .
Some of the old house had the door on the corner of the building.
8 ) the house on the left is the one with the door on the corner and on the right side you can see the old seminary and the modern building next to it .
9 ) This house dates back to 1920, it's build on 55 m2 and has only 64 m2 living space.
10 ) from the side you can actually see that the house is split in two homes
11 ) Next to the small hous is this building 't Vagevier and dates back to 1519 , they renovated the place in 1993 and created 3 seperate living spaces.
Well that is the citywalk for today , to be continued.
