Monomad: King Penguins at the Calgary Zoo

Considering how often I see penguins in groups, I always feel like they are a very social bird. Even when I see them interact with humans, it's like they know who's looking after them. These king penguins were outside of their main enclosure enjoying the day. Usually they take the penguins outside every so often as long as the weather is right for them. It was my lucky day to see a few of them outside like this. The king penguin usually lives in the sub-Antarctic islands and the Falkland Islands, and they are considered to be at relatively low risk of extinction, so hopefully they are around for many generations to come.
